The two major character groupings are 1) the characters around the gilgamesh-iskander axis (tokiomi, kirei, waver, &c) and 2) the characters around the saber locus (lancelot, diarmuid, kiritsugu, &c). The first group of characters revolves around ideological struggle, but the second group revolves around personal struggle. That's why Saber gets her ass whupped at the meeting of kings for instance - she isn't acting as a king, she's acting as an individual. But both character groupings are there for a reason, and given screentime for a reason.
Criticizing Kiritsugu for harming the ideological discourse means colossally missing the point that well over half the characters in F/Z are wrestling with their past and the wounds that past has inflicted on them, rather than on a future-oriented ideology. It's missing the entire thematic grounding of the kiritsugu v. kotomine conflict and probably missing the point of why kotomine is so focused on angra mainyu (beyond "for the evulz kek")

I clear 30 (event) or 40 (daily) ap in the same number of turns as long as I have a waver with skill 2 to 'top up' my kaleido/IA berserkers if I'm extremely unlucky with arts card draws

That being said; the whole refresh thing is dubiously reliable. On the bright side, I have multiple friends with Wavers. Only one shota ascended, and two who equip kaleido or IA. Then like a bunch of dudes who put the FP thing or formalcraft or black keys or some shit on theirs.

Like 75% of the time, when I go and update friendslist, I DO get one of those three (shota+kaleido/reg+kaleido/reg+IA), but like every now and then. I don't. And then I need to exit out of the pre mission screen and wait like 20 seconds before going back in and refreshing again.

It's not a huge deal, it doesn't happen all the time, and it doesn't take that long to deal with, but it's pretty fucking annoying.

I wouldn't be surprised if some other people are annoyed with finding MY servant on their friendslist as I've been getting a lot of passive FP during this event since I have an NP3 jet.

On the NA server where there are only currently five 5* Servants, assuming you were cursed to only roll a single 5* Servant, it would take on average 500 rolls or 900 dollars to max out that one 5* Servant. On average.

And then you would need to roll 91 more, averaging 1 per 100 roll (or 180$). That comes to...$16,380.

In a real game scenario, you would have to max out most of the 5* Servants in order to start acquiring BSG in bulk, further increasing the price.

And this was on the JP server, where there are far more 5* Servants to roll.

To summarize: if you ever get a single Blank Saint Graph, seek help. There are numbers you can call.

His NP itself isn't that impressive, but being able to reliably and quickly cast his NP is a great overcharge boost for my berserker's AoE NPs

And any final wave can be cleared with OR without his first or third skill.

Waver is like the anti RNG for battles imo. If I bring him, I WILL be able to chain np/singleturn nuke any final wave no matter how unlucky I get with the card draws leading up to that.

skills 1 and 3 are just icing on the cake if you get to wave 3 and one of your other dudes is at 99% NP or something.

THe vast majority of gameplay is not boss fights where you need to plan ahead and roach and shit, it's more about grinding weak stuff ad nauseum and kaleido/ia speeds that shit up tremendously.

Formalcraft is probably best endgame for him I wholly agree with that. But I don't use him that much in the first 2 waves because I just try buster/arts my berserkers who can single turn waveclear if I get good draws (e.g. alternating buster chain). When I don't use a waver with kaleido (or skill 3), I end up wasting turns in wave 1 and 2 charging him up so he can start NP chain on start of wave 3.

But what I'm basically saying is; for the 'current content'. There's not really that much that you need to cheese hard to 'survive', there is no battle where you would reasonably be using waver's NP more than once, or relying on his stat-based standard damage output. He's the ultimate support for high speed clearing due to his NP skills, and having his NP quickly deployable is a huge benefit.

I'm not asking you to change the CE on your waver, I'm just saying that in meta terms, formalcraft is 'overkill' at this point in time and if you choose to do it, you're missing a simple more useful alternative (for current content).

I'm not even saying this in terms of 'you should switch to this because you'll get more FP'. I'm saying unless you're rolling a waver and 2 jeannes, you will clear waves faster with IA/kaleido on your waver and using him as a dedicated support platform while your heavy hitters use their q/a/b cards and he begins the NP chain to wipe out the third wave on turn 4 or 5.

my round 3 NP order is waver(KaleidoOrIA/support),kiyo(IA/np5),jet(Kaleido/np3) and that reliably 'Overkills' any nerofest final waver (and I did farm that first round 30ap with waver and lu and jinkies many many times with this)
