I've played so much of this game and yet I've never tried episode 2 or episode 4.
When am I supposed to be giving them a go?
I've just started playing again and I literally do not have a clue where they fit in. I want to find out before I out level them or something. I'd really appreciate if somebody could give me a list like Forest > Cave > Temple > Whatever > Whatever etc etc so I can actually play them, otherwise I'll just end up beating episode 1 again and ignoring them as usual.

Not talking about ultimate mode btw, I'm specifically wondering about the normal mode order (which I'll just copy for each higher difficulty I get to).

From what i recall, the difficulty of Episode 2 is overlapping at the end of Episode 1. So if you play through Ep1 on Normal, you can start Ep2 on Normal, beat Ep1 on Hard and you can go into Ep2 on Hard etc.

I'm the most optimistic force main I've seen in the general since ep5 so I'll give you the most sincere and helpful answer I can. First off, you don't have nearly enough PP. You're new so aim for 180 but personally I'm not satisfied below 200 any more. I was hoping the reliance on huge PP pools would get helped in ep5 but the problem is actually worse now.
Secondly, I remember you from another day. Did you actually get that Ray rod to 60 element? If not, stop using it. Force is now the most gear reliant class in the game, you have to take it seriously if you insist on staying with the class. With ep5, you can't skimp on a rainbow set any more. If you ever plan on casting techs from an element, you need a weapon for it. Considering off-element casting is much worse in ep5, you generally need to match element at almost all times in XH. This also brings up that you need multiple skill trees if you ever plan on using ice or lightning. Ep5 lets you get all three element masteries in Techer but Force still generally needs to pick a single one.
Thirdly, you have Safoie on your palette here and Ramegid orbs here so aside from element matching, you need to learn what the good techs are. I've already written an essay but the short of it is, most techs are trash even after the buffs. Take safoie off your bar and never use it again unless you craft type-0.

Force is in a terrible place right now, only the dedicated still play it.

I got to use hero time twice in my run, and the deus part was less than 6 and a half minutse. One thing a LOT of people in my mpa (which was mostly heroes) didn't do was use tmgs to attack the core from long range when it's not near the platform, it does a deceptively large amount of damage.

Its not even the compound nerf im amazed at, its the fact that they legitimately think its fine for a class to need not one but SIX 13* weapons, fully grinded both elemental wise and level wise as well as customized techs, PP affixed units, fucking multiple skill tress only available with AC and a gunslash that was introduced way back in fucking episode 2 in order to simply compete with every other classes at endgame.

I've been playing Force for a long time, I made my peace with rainbow/customized techs/etc. ages ago. The only thing I take issue with (besides being very low damage now) is how incomplete the class feels now. Force, along with other legacy classes like Hunter, feel very outdated and clunky compared to newer classes or classes that have seen overhauls since ep3 and beyond. This is especially apparent now that Hero has been introduced and has tools for every situation while feeling very fluid. We rely on PP convert to do any real dps now for some elements while Hero has no cooldown PP regen that's better than PPC in reload. They've just been neglecting the old classes for far too long, it just shows more heavily in Force because we're one of the weakest classes in the game now.

That being said, I still think Force is stronger than people give it credit for. It's just that arguing if a class is Summoner tier doesn't matter when Summoner itself is blown away by the likes of Hero/Fighter/Gunner.

You're taking those classes purely for their buffs though, they're dogshit to actually play. If you have a good techer it is very vary marginally better than just bringing another real class in 4 mans. Bouncer population was already falling, there's no way that half the classes in the game don't start quitting. Bouncer was always kinda bad and had too many conditionals but at least it felt alright to actually play. It had respectable solo ability and clear times. The theme with the classes joining Bouncer on the bottom is that they're all dogshit to play as solo. Force lost all of its bossing ability, Techer lost literally all of its damage sources, Bow Braver on top of being literally dead was never good at mobbing and Ranger sucks anywhere that has aggressive mobs which is more and more places nowadays. If these classes are not only dogshit solo but dogshit in MPAs where they're supposed to be good, why would anyone play them? The good classes get to be great at fucking everything with few to no conditionals, the game is in the worst place it's been since ep2 and you could argue ep2 was better very easily.

They put themselves between a rock and a hard place with ep5. If they just nerf the top classes then we would have regressed in power over time which is not something I have ever seen been received well in an MMO and to fix the bad classes they basically have to do an entire second balance wave. I wonder how much they playtested the changes and if they're actually happy with how things turned out.

I, for one, actually enjoy how Bo plays, so much so that I have 175atk units + 205atk boots / dbs for it. I don't really care that it's not up to par with other classes, and certainly don't care what others have to say about it. Hero is fun, but not fun enough for me to switch mains, even though I have proper all atk units and fully affixed sword/talis/tmg.

Hunter has the 2nd fastest ep5 solo PD time but no one is saying it's the 2nd best class. Solo PD isn't a good litmus test for how well a class does other than taken loosely. It's not worth it unless you're absolutely fucking diehard for fuses. You get 1 fuse on average per run (range is 0-2, at least for me) and pubs typically take 7-9 minutes to clear it. If you're close to a Qliphad sure it's ok but otherwise don't bother. Your odds of getting gix sword are pretty pathetic and not even worth considering.
