What are some things that youd change from your current favorite game to make it objectively better?

Id tone down the zoning in I2 and gave characters advancing moves that have projectile invincibility. Id make blockstun and hitstun have a clear graphical effect like in SFV. Id remove the whole stance flipping and keep characters towards the player at all times to make it easier to spot visual cues of moves. Id make fifty fifties more reactable or option selectable

finally got an octogonal gate for my sanwa stick and loving it. got an oversized actuator too, but not sure if I like the feel

It's fun like how GG is gun, but it doesn't play like it at all. compared to other anime games you have cement shoes and resets essentially dont exist, making the game have a lot more focused on mid to fullscreen spacing games vs the more up close decision making GG can become (a couple characters can have GG tier setplay in the corner though)

BB is a historically bad series that made the same mistakes over and over and the recent patch is most likely going to be the end of the series in its current form, so getting into it now is probably a bad idea

I think I'm done with Injustice 2. I just feel so out place in it. The games roster is like 70% zoner friendly whereas MKX, it was all about in your face fighting. I'm tired of having to work harder than my opponent for my wins. I'm willing to bet they'll make Black Manta a zoner as well because apparently there is never enough.

Everyones excpecting a lot from DBZF, but what if ArcSys just releases it like a regular Guilty Gear game with new expansion + 2 chars and balance every year or so? How to fix Injustice 2? Copy the core gameplay of MKX, add the DC paint on it, and add the Injustice features (clash and 2 health bars), remove chip entirely or make it supremely minor, and make the game fighting centric not zoning. It's a shame they didn't build off of the core MKX gameplay (without a doubt the best fighting mechanics of any NRS game) but instead decided to stick to their guns with that barely decent Injustice 1 gameplay.

MKX and Injustice gameplay are nigh identical with the simple difference that injustice is back to block and it has light, medium and hard attack buttons+ trait instead of 4 attack buttons (2 punches and 2 kicks) MKX also has the sprint/ stamina system but that only really serves to limit mobility into short bursts

The only thing I miss from MKX is the variation system. If injustice 2 got a huge update where all characters get a second "variation" using some rebalanced ability moves, it would be great. Other than that, its a far better game than MKX with way better balance and a with a bigger, more interesting cast.

More than half the cast of Injustice 2 isn't viable in competitions because they are genuinely useless (and no not the "people haven't figured them out" kind, the they are a waste of time type) against high tier characters. Blue Beetle, Swamp Thing, Brainiac, Grodd, Cheetah, Captain Cold, Firestorm, etc. It's a shame seeing how only 4-5 of the roster is being used in torunaments. The game really caters to tier whores. Meanwhile there was probably 2 or 3 of the MKX cast that weren't very good which is fantastic. There wasn't a single OP character and zoning wasn't the cancer it is now with Injustice 2.

This is just outright wrong and retarded. MKX is only really balanced in its current state which took almost 2 years to happen. Brainiac is getting a buff and has been used in tournaments all this time. Grodd is one of the best characters in the game and is getting a buff too, the only thing that limits the character is that the execution is so retardedly hard that nobody even knows how youre supposed to use the character barring specialists like OmegaK. Captain Cold is getting a buff and he is more of a counterpick than a complete character. Firestorm is alright and will be better soon due to the top tiers getting nerfs. You seem to be retarded if you think that out of a 30+ cast, a few characters not being able to beat out the top tiers via toolset alone means the game is badly balanced. The Flash just made second place at EVO. Scarecrow won CEO. Both of the most popular tournament picks (aquaman/ black adam) are both getting nerfed.

The issue more than anything is that SF back in the day simply had the widest reach and was released at the right time (pretty much the kickstarter of fighting games in mainstream and on popular consoles like SNES and Genesis). The KOF series didn't really start to take off until the end of the fighting craze and when the craze for 3D games was kicking in. It also didn't help that KOF was also pretty much regulated to the arcade or the really expensive Neo Geo if you wanted the best experience. Not only that KOF hasn't really been in the mainstream light for a very long time in the last 15 years as SNK has be in the pachinko market.

There's just way too much shit to deal with though. I understand that's the nature of Tekken and that inexperience is the biggest problem in it, but I just hate that mashing is so much more rewarding at a lower level. I play better against yellow ranks than I do blue ranks because I'm already past the hurdle of learning the basics of neutral and wakeup.

It's not really a problem with specific characters, just the constant string playstyle in general. They're shit on defense but Gigas is too slow to do anything against it. I think my toughest thing to fight against is any character that has a mid/low launcher mixup though.
