It's quite fun though, like all the tf1 maps it's designed around being able to use the movement system properly and gives pilots spots where they can get the drop on unaware titans.

Played a few hours of tf2, mp is still a clusterfuck but the frontier defense mode versus AI is neat.

Not sure if I want to pay full price just for that mode alone. But the origin access seems like a good deal.

Honestly, the multiplayer being a clusterfuck is great, because while being a clusterfuck, you can understand what's in the clusterfuck.
Jumping into the middle of a titan fight as a pilot to jump on an enemy titan, grabbing their battery, then dropping your own titan on top of them in the middle of it all is amazing to me. And yeah, FD is fun as he'll, especially when you have 20 titans coming at you at once.

Also, CONSTANTLY throw out tripwires especially with explosive tripwires thing, their explosions actually do a lot of damage so one titan that gets tethered by two or three is basically ready to die and you can spread them out around the map. If you see a line of titans, shooting out a cluster missle because they'll all walk through it for huge damage.

Are their any confirmed stealth buffs/nerfs? I know they implemented some of the changes that were originally in HTTK mode such as the phase shift change. But after playing the game for a while it feels much different than before. A couple of things I noticed is that the Mastiff feels more consistent and SMR projectiles seem faster. It just feels like more has been changed than aim assist tweaks and nerfs to mostly ARs and SMGs. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Not like I am really enjoying how the game plays now, it just feels like something more than what was described in the patch notes happened.

I agree that he may be the worst titan but before this patch he was far behind the others, in a tier all by himself at the bottom. Now he seems to be right behind others on the bottom rung. But, that said I think the titan balance is much better than the pilot balance. All the titans are fairly close to each other in terms of viability.

I'll skip the shitstorm of giving a tier list and say that Scorch is not far behind Northstar in viability. Northstar is a great titan but neither as versatile or oftentimes effective as the others. She excels and struggles depending on the map. She's afloat with a few leaks in the ship. Scorch is in a similarly leaky boat but with only one or two more leaks, not a gaping hole.

That actually is the correct hand positioning for a revolver. If you put your left thumb on the left side over your right hand's thumb, you'll put it directly in the way of the space between the cylinder and the barrel where some of the gases are expelled when the gun is fired, and it has enough force to rip your thumb right off.

His name is "Ronin". He may not have been originally imagined as a ninja titan from day one but Respawn has added plenty of material especially present in the Japanese inspired nosearts for him. He is the sword titan first and foremost (look at the "highlander perk") but he is also the Japanese titan. You can see in the concept art that it took some imagination to get a sword using titan into the game. There could have been a heavy armored ogre with a sword and they could have called it "Knight", "Highlander", or why not "Cataphract" but the sword titan came in as a nimble hit and run specialist. A name like Ronin fits more and Respawn ran with the Japanese theme.

My best map is Angel City at a 80% win ratio and my worst is Homestead at 66%.

quick update for the photo mod and no hud mods, they'll now hide the "return to the battlefield" notification too, so you can take pictures from outside the map without it in the way. in photo mode it'll be completely gone, but with just the no hud mod you'll still be able to hear the countdown beeps.
i also made the viewmodel fov change a whole number instead of a decimal which might alleviate some the crashes people are getting when they shoot their guns in photo mode, but i'm not really sure since i can't recreate the issue myself to begin with.

This is actually true, given smaller intermediate calibers (like 5.56x45mm) have a higher probability of penetrating, warping and fragmenting inside the target than larger full sized/battle rifle cartridges (like 7.62x51mm), resulting in more damage to body tissues.
Smaller calibers also suffer less drag than battle rifle cartridges, and end up having longer trajectories since they're lighter.
Funnily enough, the G2 uses 6.19, which is an intermediate caliber (6.5 Grendel is larger but is still considered intermediate). That would make it a mere semi-automatic rifle, not a battle rifle.
