So what would everyone here think if Blackbeard's gadget was changed to it's original incarnation (just for speculation's sake), where it was a small metal shield on each side of the forend of the weapon that would most likely block off most of the head besides the top when aiming. It's shown around 0:36, far left. Would this be such a huge nerf to the point of making him useless? I was thinking that if this were to happen, which it probably never will, the new shield could have much more or even unlimited hp - with the trade off being that it just blocks the chest/possibly a portion but not all of bb's head, making him harder to take down but not giving him the same headshot tanking abilitys he has now. Additionally, this shield would be permanently affixed on his weapon and not offer the same drawbacks that his current shield offers.

It depends on what you want to accomplish.

Directly on the mirror: to blow out the glass without creating a vaultable passage. Advantageous in some cases.
To the side of the mirror: Same as directly on the mirror, but with the benefit of extending the non-vaultable murderhole to the side.
Below the mirror: to create a vaultable hole. Requires some precision, because if you shoot too low, you might not actually destroy the mirror. Safest bet is to get the top row of pellets on the mirror, and the bottom row below it.

I was just about to post most of what you just said. To expand on some points:
-Shotgun pellet hitting the head deals torso-level damage. Even if it shows up as a shotgun headshot in the killfeed, it didn't actually do any extra damage or kill instantly, a pellet just hit the person there on the killing blow.
-Picking up Rook armor after being downed once doesn't give you another down. It's one DBNO for each player per round, period. A downed person being revived by Doc's stim pistol doesn't give another DBNO chance either.
-When you're DBNO, you get a pool of 20 HP. This is why it takes exactly two Twitch zaps to kill a downed person. They can kill outright due the above point of one DBNO per round, specifically the case of zapping someone with <10 HP who had previously been injured and then picked up that round.

A shot from Caveira's pistol will injure someone if it would have otherwise killed them, including headshots. However, even this is subject to the 1 DBNO per round rule. Using the Luison to take someone below 1HP, who had previously been downed and then picked up, will kill them outright, skipping the DBNO stage, meaning she misses her interrogation chance.
