I can get to positions right away, the terrain is an issue at times since it does slug and if you even dare move slightly to the left or right it slows down to a crawl.

The problem is once I'm in the position, I get a kill or two but then I get killed trying to move out because of the shit traverse and mobility.

Just wondering if those factors improve once its spaded.

with USA, you probably should not go above 76 mm Shermans. First, because grind, repairs/gains ratio and meta get fucking awful in T4/T5. Second, because gameplay goes to shit with massive camping, ULQ shitter and air rushes, mostly because of 1st.
Most comfy spot of Americans is 3.7 (most comfy spot for most nations, rather) and 5.3 - 5.7.
4.7 can be fun with US heavies, assuming you don't get fully uptiered vs Tigers and 85 mm Russians.
