Minor warping is fine, severe warping is developer laziness. Armor should be designed with sliding plates in mind so that they don't have to warp and squish in order to actually work. If the upper chest was designed well by the artist the midriff plates can just be a static model while the upper chest slides over it, as it should in your exclusive armor example.

Nearly everything got slapped with some kind of change. Bungie is def more interested in building a platform they can expand on than in retooling everything from the ground up just to say they did it.

Every story about it now starts with "so i was getting fucked by some aliens around the corner from an ice cream truck when" and I think that's a cool direction to take it. Instead of console shooters trying to prove they can be fast and give you all the opportunities to faceroll and look cool, this one wants you to think ahead a few seconds and keep the tension of being alone in space helplessly outnumbered by desperate alien hordes. will be fun to see how the power creep grows before D3.

What are you talking about? What even kind of fucking reasoning skill is that? All exotic class items have a "life exotic" perk that lets them be worn with another exotic armor piece. A chest piece being exotic has no bearing on whether or not that bond is exotic or legendary.

I don't have anything against it in particular, my point was more that exotics in D1, half of what made them exotic (Visually) was they weren't shader compatible, you know? So when that was taken away most of them just blended in as a regular set of armor.

As far as the vestment it still had that plating that made it more visually distinguishable at a glance but they both had the exact same silhouette as half a dozen other generic warlock robes and when you shader them, praxic fire even had its base robe used as a part of other models.
