So what does Pakko do exactly? The ones I've seen didn't seem impactful.

Am I supposed to play differently with one on my team? Is he actually effective at controlling assassins like tyto and tripp? The slows didn't seem to do much to them. Does he simply rely on hitting his snowball to get anything going?

I have 5k gold to spend on the next thero. I already own HK, which is my main now, but I'dike to get a caster. I'm torn between Charnok and Mozu. I know that most people consider Charnok very good, but I can't be as efficient as him as I would like. I tried Mozu in training and I loved him, especially after finding a proper build, but I never had the chance to try him in real matches because it's not been among my rotation heroes.

They're both good, but fulfil different roles.
Sven offers mobility/debuff immunity and some AoE healing.
Vadasi is more of a focused pocket healer, who counters burst damage, and generally makes everyone feel really tanky.
Sven plays a lot better in solo queue than Vadasi, and the bounce pad is invaluable.
She's still pretty dope, but probably left until you are more experienced with the game.

I can relate. Since when I installed Gigantic I stopped playing OW and honestly I don't feel like anything is missing. OW has become way too cancerous and unbalanced lately, hopefully it will die sooner or later, so that people will start playing good games that actually require skill and team organization. I think Gigantic is in that spot in my brain where I want it to succeed because the developers, inept though they may be in their deals with Microsoft, have honestly put effort into making something that feels unique without being a toss into the darkness in hopes of making a grand new established X GAME KILLER.

Yet at the same time I want it to not be popular because lord knows if it gets too big there is no stopping human greed from whoring out even the purest of things. Nexon has taught me that much.

My favorite thing about Gigantic is the penalty of dying. It's so simple even a Toddler can grasp that. Even if you are player who may not be able to get alot of kills but can come up with good plans and most of stay alive, you are already ahead of the curb.

And a hero every month is fantastic compared to overwwatchs "2 heroes once a year with a bunch of nerfs and hype" bullshit.

I got 3 of my friends to get into this game with me and only 1 of them stuck with it and enjoys it. My friend was complaining that it feels like you're walking in mud and the stamina system is dumb. I completely disagree with that and told him to learn how to conserve and know when to use stamnia/skills to escape or enter battle. To me it feels fine and the stamina system is a fun mechanic that adds another layer of planning. He believes you should be constantly at running speed and dodge should be constant and I told him how broken that would be. Characters like Imani would never be able to keep up with someone constantly zipping everywhere.

Thoughts on the movement? I guess it's a gamebreaker for some people.

The current iteration of the stamina system is more than enough to get things done if you're not bunnyhopping like a madman in combat.
Shit they even made it more lenient than the old iteration, where sprinting and jumping outside of combat took stamina (albeit at a significantly reduced rate) and using abilities and regular attacks also drained the bar.

I think if they buffed any part of her kit, she would be too strong, she already good in a lot of things, but not STRONG like the meta characters. She does snowball pretty well imo, can buttfuck a lot of characters by herself. It's just that you don't get to kill people like HK/mozu, or tank like Margrave, or snipe, or heal, etc, but she isn't bad... if they buffed ghost dad she would be too annoying to play against, but I still think that should be her thing.

Voden is a pretty great character after you get over the fact that he does low damage. I haven't played any that were really good but I'm sure I would be annoyed at the constant poison arrows and how unkillable he is. He is amazing at securing kills due to his slow, high mobility, and roots.

A big beefy Cyclops Amazon woman wielding a large, wooden club. About as tall as Knossos and Pakko, and wearing hefty leather armor.
One of her abilities would be to pick up a large chunk of rock right out of the ground, and throw it like Pakko's iceball, it would do AOE damage while weakening those hit in the radius, and well as leaving "uneven ground" left where she picked the chunk from, slowing enemies walking on it and applying bonus damage to other abilities that hit on the spot of land.
Another one of her abilities would be a "berserk" mode where she gets bonus armor and damage at the cost of slower movement speed and the inability to dodge or jump.
Her ult would probably be something where she lets out a giant battle cry, massively amplifying the effects of healing, applying bonus damage, and giving all teammates caught in the radius and short immunity to debuffs.
She'd be a Fighter/Utility character.

Apparently even if you win, if you played against lower MMR players you lose MMR.

Pretty lame, and that means hard to climb if you are solo, would explain people who go in groups as well to raise their MMR.
