Why do healers take so long to ress someone in this game? Like, there is one dude dead, the tank is full health and clearly manages the situation and the healer does nothing. And it's happens all the time.

Fun is subjective my dude, you may find fun to have a punishing rotation and optimizing every single second of your combat. Some people may find fun to have a easier rotation so they can pay more attention to the world around them. RDM has a very unusual rhythm to it that I personally find very appealing, going from the spell cycles to the melee and back to the spells feels exciting to me.

I've decided to give tanks a try and I see why few people enjoy playing them, especially in dungeons. It is such a thankless job. Healing is similar, but at least I'm not at the front taking hits for everyone. It's like being red pilled, suddenly you notice everyone's mistakes (and they are all quick to point out yours). Playing tank has actually made me a better healer.

yes. thordan being killed off so soon felt like a mistake, we don't even know what the majority of the heavens' ward was like and most patches after HW were pretty boring story-wise and im afraid it will be boring again for SB patches too

There is nothing random in XIV encounters. They are entirely scripted and on rails. When the damage comes is predictable, how often it comes is predictable, how hard it hits is predictable.
Your entire reasoning is flawed because it can be applied to both DPS and tanks as well.
DPS have to maintain a strict rotation(strict being an exaggeration) whilst still doing the mechanics. Tanks have to maintain their strict(again, lenient) rotation while doing their personal set of mechanics.
You're coming from the fact healers have to keep others alive while doing the mechanics but that's their job, they don't hold more responsibility than any other class because that's what their job IS.
With the way xiv works you have one healer doing all the leg work while the other DPS's while tossing out heals for certain parts of the fight where it's needed. That means one healer is healing and the other is (mostly) dpsing.
Which in this case, is you. You're mostly dpsing. How do you have a higher responsibility for this? Tossing out the occasional heal while going "BUT MY DPS" isn't added responsibility, it's doing your job.
This entire argument has stemmed back more than likely longer than you have even played MMOs. I say that lightly because I don't know you, but the aforementioned fact remains. There's always one person in one job that brings up "but i'm more important! i hold more responsibility!"
You're not and you don't. Everyone is equal. It doesn't matter if you're arguing which role is "worth" more or which job holds more responsibility. Trying to argue it is asinine and makes the person appear as if they're seeking attention for playing x class.

DPS isn't hard, but the hardest job depends on the fight and the quality of the group. The worse the group, the harder it is for the healers. The tighter the DPS check, the harder it is for everyone (as healers and tanks need to DPS too). The more frustrating the DPS or tank mechanics, the harder it is for them.

No one job is far and away harder than the others, but in the past I felt tanking easiest when I did it.

The main difference between tanks/healers and DPS is that a tank.healer has to make adjustments to how they handle the fight in order to do more damage by shifting CDs or using party resources. A DPS just does things faster or ignores mechanics to do better damage.

Ast right now has much better gcd healing than whm

Cure 2 is 700 potency and benefic 2 in noct is around 750~ while malefic 3 and stone 4 are 30 potency difference
Right now before optimisation on healing end most of the aoe healing was done with medica 2 and most of the tank healing was done with ast using their gcds + both of us using ogcds

Our healing split will over time evolve to go much further on my side with more hot usage and less shielding as ilvl inflates and we optimise our healing better
