To even match Truesilver's attack you'd need to pop 3 divine shields WHILE IT IS ACTIVE. Even then you're not getting healed and you're constantly ramming your face into the enemy.

Even if there were enough good Divine Shield minions for Divine Shield Paladin to be a thing I doubt anyone would use such a slow, shitty card over Truesilver.

That literally doesn't matter.
It's too fucking slow, clunky and awkward to work. Your opponent will never leave your shields up long enough for you to pop them on the same turn as you play it and playing it for 4 mana then WAITING until you've played enough divine shield minions then popped their shields for it to have enough attack to kill your opponent's minions will never fucking happen because you will be dead from basically spending at least 2 entire turns doing fucking nothing.

It's a fucking dead draw half the time even in a deck filled with divine shield cards and is slow and mediocre at best the rest of the time. The new Bolvar has the same fucking problem, it's a dead draw and garbage play if your board isn't set up and is just "okay" even if your board is set up because it's basically just a big minion that you're spending most of your turn playing and buffing (through your effect by playing divine shield minions) that your opponent will then simply remove using literally anything because it still only has 7 health and can be hit with spells.

Comparisons with blood knight are pretty silly. Blood knight makes all your other minions vulnerable by removing their divine shield and then becoming the prime target for single target removal. This works alongside them better. I don't really see a point in running this over something like bittertide hydra though if you wanted something big on turn 5.

Has a potential to be pretty disgusting, but considering you'd want to run it in an aggro pally deck, it wouldn't be a very consistent turn 4 play. You definitely wouldn't want to spend your entire turn 4 on playing a 1/4 weapon, so you'd preferrably need 2 divine shield minions up before it, which seems a bit hard to achieve at the moment.

Best comparison is wickerflame. 1 more mana than wickerflame for +1/1. Requires taunt, divine shield and lifesteal in your deck though. The former two are easy for paladin, but there has yet to be a single decent lifesteal minion, so by what we've seen so far, you'd need to gimp your deck to get wickerflame v2, a card that is only run in control paladin. All windfury minions are shit so you can give up on that.

3/3 statline is a lot better than 2/2 though, which is kinda awkward against all the 2/3s and 1/3s in the meta. But unless they print a good lifesteal minion, I don't see this being viable.

These two Paladin cards are bad, I mean, you could argue that they could be good if Paladin got some kind of absurd Divine Shield support cards that were really OP but that wouldn't make these cards good, it would make the crazy OP Divine Shield cards good.
The new Bolvar, astoundingly could be okay with enough support as a part of a combo deck involving Blood Knight assuming we get some way to put tons of bubbles on the board in a single turn for a low mana cost. But even then, the Bolvar wouldn't be the star of that show, the Blood Knight would be doing all the work and the Bolvar would just be in the deck to have a 3rd card other than the 2 Blood Knights that can synergy with the combo.

The weapon is just useless, even assuming we get some OP Divine Shield support it's still too slow, even if we end up in a situation where there's a deck that can make it have crazy huge attack it would still not be good because you would need to take a turn to set it up (play the divine shield minions, then pop their bubbles, meaning it takes at least 2 turns to set up this weapon to a good attack value) and everyone runs weapon removal these days anyway.

IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE FUCKING MINIONS FROM LAST TURN THAT STILL HAVE THEIR DAMN BUBBLES UP THEN YOU'VE LITERALLY ALREADY WON THE FUCKING GAME, WHICH RENDERS BOTH OF THESE CARDS MEANINGLESS TO PUT IN THE DECK IN THE FIRST PLACE.

They are dead draws if you're in top deck mode or just haven't got the cards ready to activate their effects and give your opponent plenty of time to answer them because of how long they take to set up. The only time they help you win the game is if you were already going to win in the first place, which makes them absolutely pointless.

The size of a community absolutely matters. I used to play Bloodline Champions religiously back when we had 2k players daily world wide. It makes finding games harder. You pretty much know everyone at the top because you play each other all the time (Kanyewest, Daniel, Jackazzm, etc). There is no one to discuss things with because your game is niche. And good luck with any updates because money isn't being poured into the game. This game is being consistently updated and we have weekly brawls even if we have repeats. There are least somethings keeping it fresh.

If a game doesn't have a community that won't happen.

That's the thing. These cards will never be viable, they will never be 'neat', they will never be anything but unplayable because the problems inherent to their design will not change. I already explained this.
A 3 mana "Give all friendly minions Divine Shield" would be amazing. However it wouldn't make these cards good. Nor would it change the fact that they're both dead draws if you don't have your OP divine shield card in hand along with a board full of tokens so you can activate the synergy.

That means, even with completely OP support these cards are really bad draws like 70-80 percent of the time. If a card like that did exist people would just make a divine shield paladin deck that ran 2 Blood Knights and a bunch of other cards that aren't dead draws.
A lack of consistency is one of the worst problems a card can have and both of these new cards have absolutely ZERO consistency.

It actually isn't as bad as people think. Keep in mind, unlike Blood Knight it doesn't pop shields on its own, and it has Divine Shield itself. It's a safer play than Blood Knight against board clears because of this.

It still probably won't be played though, and could probably stand to be buffed to gain +3 attack.

If you put wickerflame in your deck, you get a more expensive wickerflame with +1/1. So the only realistic fit currently is control paladin. Do they need another wickerflame? Maaybe not. Especially since if you draw wickerflame before you play the card, you lose your lifesteal. Really depends on how aggro heavy the meta is.

I think it will see play in Paladin decks because they have many cards that have those keywords to begin with.

If they include Burnbristle and end up drawing Corpsetaker before him just that one card alone (which is already a decent card) will give Corpsetaker Divine Shield, Taunt and Lifesteal right off the bat. If they did draw Burnbristle but still had Tirion in their deck it would get Divine Shield and Taunt, which is still good for 4 mana.

Not sure about other classes, but yeah, paladins will use this card.

There are few to no actual elemental decks, and Stoneshaper is a bad topdeck. Even quest rogue ran it at times, though.

Against decks that rely on weapons/minions to clear out taunts, just those three keywords gurantee you about 10-12 life on average, and thats if it gets removed instantly without getting to attack

Only if your opponent has 4 or more attack minions up and no 1 attack minions/weapon. But we know that with fire flies, patches, bloodsail corsair, first mate, etc, it's pretty trivial for aggro decks to pop the shield with 1 attack.

Feel free to have high hopes for the card, but we'll see how mediocre the card is after the expansion releases.
