The current dev team is different right? They really need everyone who is working on the game to go back and play the first 3 games, then maybe they'll feel the magic we felt when we played them and add it to 4 so it has more 'feeling' to it. 4 maybe pretty and run nice but it just lacks the 'love' the previous ones had.

I got into Sims with Sims 3, so I can't get into 2.

I want someone to go and do an overhaul of Sims 3 with mods. I could see it being done, lighting needs changed, some optimization stuff, etc. Sims 3 isn't being updated anymore so they don't have to worry about an update breaking everything (according to someone who's pretty much dead, that was a problem with Sims 3) so I could see it being done if the Mod community didn't burn out with Sims 4.

Also why the fuck can't I go home during a social event? My sim is dying of hunger+sleep and can't go home to fix it.

Had to reset my sim waifu because of a chat glitch where she wouldnt do another activity after I cancelled a conversation. Her sleep was in the red but she wouldn't sleep even after that. I ended up deleting and replacing the bed while spamming sleep and she kept immediately getting back up and REEing at the bed until she finally passed out face down ass up.
Turns out I forgot her MP3 was still on, I thought the noise icon meant a stereo in another room that I turned off.

The animations are noticeably worse in Sims 3, yeah. I think that's the worst thing so far. That and the fucking foot tapping to get out a door with another Sim.

Also they literally reused songs from the "Disco" station in Sims 4 and just renamed it Nu-Disco. Never realized that.

Pathing is god damned terrible in 3, but i still feel like at the stage 4 is now, 3 had a lot more stuff to do, and it wasn't largely centered around social activities.
Parenthood is a half assed Generations, where the fuck are my walking sticks for elderly.

Sutff packs have been around since TS2. The game packs are very modular, and can be forgone if the content isn't appealing. 4's expansion packs are just too slow coming and not nearly expansive enough. The new cities are the main reason to buy them when they should be a nice addition on the side of features.

Some of those walls/floors really look nice together but the rooms need more fluff. I like the dim calming colors but definetly needs some extras.
I would give it a honest 7/10, cozy low-budget house. Would plop it down on my island for the grandparents.

One minute they're trying to be realistic to the point of literally photoskimming some items and patterns, and then they'll release something that looks really cartoon like.
