That depends on how good your computer is and how tough the ENB preset is. Many people do run a screenshot profile though, with ENB installed, take a screenshot, and then switch to a less intensive preset.

You should probably run the bare minimum ENB though, with no graphics improvements. It does increase performance slightly.

As I said you can unlock a perk soon that lets you level up outside of VL form, but yes you need to become a VL first to get them. I guess in that aspect Better Vampires would win if it is the mod I think it is. Sacrosanct doesn't add only VL features though, just so you know.

All this talk about vampires has me wondering...

Since potions and such work on them, how many mortal functions do they still have or are capable of?

Do they sweat? Will their heart beat if they've fed recently enough to pass for human? How "dead" is "dead" in regards to vampirism in The Elder Scrolls?

Well I know that but I mean specifics on their undead state. Like I remember the ones in Cyrodill were supposed to be noteworthy and outlived other clans because they looked basically human, while others are plainly monstrous or undead in some form (Morrowind, Daggerfall etc.)

This might have changed in Skyrim because the Volkihar seem to have a similar trait, and their noted ability to pass through ice like it's air is mysteriously absent, but I mean in regards to vampire physiology, just what is it like?

If at any moment they're capable of not burning in direct sunlight, while weakened and mostly "mortal" in every other sense, do their bodies behave as human or are there giveaways?

it's not that great. what it does basically is add a CRUUUNCH sound sometimes when you hit people. When that CRUUNCH happens from behind someone, they're paralyzed and fall to the ground.

It also adds a way to change damage multipliers for you and npcs on the menu, and "improves" the AI by making them block a ton I think. I don't think what it does to AI is bad, but I didn't notice that much difference.

Yeah. For compatibility, the armor should come in three parts, gloves, boots, and cuiriass. The ESP isn't going to reference anything else, so armors with more or less parts aren't fully compatible. You can also rename the files if they're named oddly.

I would hop on youtube and check a few tutorials on it. It's not as complicated as it sounds. I mean some people on this general have 300/500/800+ mods running tho that involves way more than just nmm or mo.

Start the research now so in a week when you have 80 mods running and it fixes the game and enhances a ton of stuff you'll enjoy it more than I think these mods might work?

I also cant really help you in great detail since I am still learning things like wyre bash and all that.

Fixed the khajiit head. Though the way it's worked, any NPC vampire lord is going to also use khajiit heads. There's like 2 or 3 of them though, so I don't care.

I'm at the southern gate of Riften. My goal is Castle Volkihar. I have a horse (Frost) but no mods to adjust the speed of said horse.

I'm planning to go through the Helgen pass, head northeast to Rorikstead, north to Dragonbridge, then follow the road to Icewater Jetty.

Blah. 11.5 minutes to reach Rorikstead from Riften, but when I went off-road to dodge a dragon and some vampires I CTDed.

If I'd pushed my horse a bit harder (Or maybe if I'd taken a more direct route) I probably could have reached Rorikstead in 10 minutes; I bet it's possible to make it from Fort Dawnguard to Castle Volkihar in around 20 minutes if you really push.

Fast Travel obscures just how small the game really is. When you start running or riding a horse around you come to realize just how small Skyrim actually is; The dawnguard>volkihar route being the most extreme possible route I could come up with (Literally opposite diagonal edges of the map).

It's a pretty big mess but I was following the TESG guide as well as some gamer poet stuff. The game runs at around 45fps but I do get issues randomly where the framerate drops down to around 10 for a few seconds or doing such actions such as turning quick makes things choppy, outdoors mostly. The textures at I installed is only 2k And my rig is pretty up to date. I am aware this looks like a monstrosity.
