wizard chest gives +50% damage, passively. The most dps leather chest, assasin jacket, only gives +30%

This is significant. That said assassin jacket is also viable since it gives ambush. It all depends on what you are wanting to do. If we are talking something niche like a pve/zvz longbow archer then cloth is probably the way to go. If you want to do any kind of soloing or use the meme warbow build then leather chest is better (wizard cowl is always the best hat though)
