I'm new and looking to make one of my characters for farming. I see corsair, thaum, and necro mentioned a lot. Could anyone tell me the strengths or differences between them?
Also, are farm builds not good for other stuff?

Corsair can randomly get free stuff when they hit things but their actual kill speed isn't as fast as many other characters. Thaum can get double drops and requires very little investment, but their kill speed is limited by a 22 second CD skill and mob density. Necros can be left afk overnight to make good money passively through summons killing things for you. SR3 is one you didn't mention, it requires more investment but kills things crazy fast with minimal effort.

Memes aside, What's the difference between ChapPD2 and SadhuPD2 for solo play?
They both can heal with C2. They both have buffs, either blessing/aspergillim or Prana.
They both do similar damage on PD2 skill ticks.

chap PD is like the budget version that has blessing continuously so it'll always have 2-3k added damage while sadhu PD has TP which adds your min magic attack as psychokino property damage. So at low poverty levels chap PD DoTs might be better when sadhu PD runs out of blessing but when you have at least 3k matk you'll outperform chap PDs and they can't scale further.
chap PD can still autoattack with a lot of lines and it'll deal decent damage.

I played both. ChaplainPD do 5 lines at best, usually 3-4k each (might be 4-5k if you go full spr gear but it involves P2W Bracelets). 12k damage (if it hits, since it's p.attack). And you have to recast blessing every minute.
Sadhu plague does 9k on base. that's without factoring in Blessing and sacrament. Transmit prana gives 5k more. You're hitting for 15k+ easily on Sadhu PD with BDS ticks only, then you have Possession which is a Huge dmg skill. And you do damage even without prana, while without Sacrament+blesssing+last rites you do shit damage on Chap PD
Chap PD has more support capabilities, losing on some damage. Sadhu has better damage but less support abilities.

With the shittiest of gear you'll do at least 15k per auto (2500 patk, 2500 matk, shitty 1650 blessing, and ignoring chip damage from sacrament/rites). And you'll do much more against dark mobs.
And that's only for melee autos with shitty gear.

Is it worth maxing Aspersion on a Chaplain? I have level 50 attribute and level 1 is 240% and level 15 is 415% with DM.

So assuming 2k damage, my Aspergillum hit is 4.8k with level 1(2) and 8.3k maxed.

I can either max Aspersion or max Revive/Mass Heal, they'll be level 5 if I choose Aspersion.

I'm not PD2 but my chap autos do 17.5k on non-dark monsters. And I have a shitty gear (+6 purple mace, no trans, shitty 1640 blessing). With 90 DEX that would be 33k+ dps from autos only.

Possession with 60 attributes would do something like 8k dps on a full INT sadhu (3400 math, 2900 minmatk) against a monster with 1k def?

I don't think so. With 3400 matk and 2900 minmatk you normally would have +1885 dmg from prana.
Posession ticks 21 times (?) at 277%, mob has 1000 mdef:
2.77 * 3400 * 0.6 + 1885 = 7535 per tick, right?
So 7535 * 21 / 20 = 7912 DPS, no?

Much more with chapparitions obviously, plus the damage from OOB explosion (do people even use this?). But still, it's pretty low compared to chap autodps.

It's still only 7500 damage per second.
I hit Caros for 17k per auto attack and I hit nearly 2 times per second. And Caros aren't even Dark.
I also don't need to care about knockbacks and getting my main spells interrupted.

A)Is weaker than other meta options that are usually quite boring and 'simple'

B)Because they're rare, even if you explain it to people most people never see these skills because the skills need a super niche setup to work and even then don't work with everything but a small subset of things, well.

All Archer1-2-3 skills are fucking snorefest, it's sad that the most creative skill is Multishot, Full Draw and Kneeling Shot among them. Kneeling Shot actually being more interested because of it's scaling and literally validating a full DEX build alone. The problem is that it does it alone, doesn't require or work well wich much else. The only one it really does is QS3's Running Shot (So, a shit combo), and Cannoneer skills, but Cann. has Bazooka which can be just as insane if not more when Full STR.

QS is snoresville, the only skill most people care about are caltrops (ooooh wow another deployment!) and running shot, which is like the only fucking AA-modifier in the archer tree oddly enough.

Hunter literally trash in PvE, it could have been interested, but it's not really.

Wugu has nothing else that it synergies really good with

Scout has some good stuff, but it's not very interesting because it doesn't work well. Like Distortion

Fletcher is snoresville because you have to craft when offline and hope it doesn't fail/crash/etc, forcing you into certain addons to not be fucked. The fact that a character that is all about what are basically autoattacks with different arrows THAT YOU SPENT TIME CRAFTING doesn't scale on auto attack on it's one fucking 0s CD skill is disgusting in and of itself.
The character failed in so many ways, it had potential, it could have easily been AA-modifiers to combo with Kneeling, or deployments with modified arrows, etc.

I like levels in smoke grenade, Evasion is also really really nice (It's like Sneak Hit so just straight +25% chance to dodge

You're only losing 3% over it being additive (it's multiplicative so 10%^3 = 27%) though in this scenario, so there's that. Also if your team isn't retarded, which I imagine the first DPS or second DPS (but swordie with provoke attribute), they won't be running around and forcing the front towards you, so you won't need to rely on this.

Werewolf cards were always unreliable, but they're just even more so the case now.

If you've got multihit I bet that Bleeding on Hit card will be better or Poison on hit card (If you've got Wugu this should synergize well?)

10% chance to gain+4 MS on attack is nice too and unless you're kneeling gives you easier access to the back
