I also work nights EST and have no problem at all. The game has a relatively small playerbase on PC, but it's stable enough and the matchmaking is very fast. I only have to wait longer than ~30 seconds for a match when I'm playing at extremely weird times, like 5am on weekdays and even then i'm usually in after a minute or so.

Definitely get it on PC, given how movement and aim-based the game is it's just a superior experience to console.

And like the other anon said, if you find that I'm wrong and you're having trouble getting into games you can always refund

Yeah, probably, but that was me 6 weeks ago. Expect it to take a while to get used to things, it was the most overwhelming MP experience of my life at first but after a few hours you start to get the hang of it.

Also, very important: play the campaign (or at least the first 2-3 hours of it) before playing multiplayer, to get a hang of the movement. I jumped right into multiplayer at first and was both bad and completely bamboozled; there was no time to learn the movement. After playing halfway through the campaign and going back to MP, I was obviously still bad, but I had the basics of the gameplay down so I wasn't trying to learn fundamentals while being shot at by other players, just improve on them

Viper thrusters is regarded as the best kit, and not just because of memes.

Double tether is pretty good, and threat scope is excellent for quickly finding and taking out pilots.

I find threat scope the most effective because you drop a smoke and then see titans through it while they can't see you.
Viper thrusters are pretty good too because it gives you a shit load of mobility but I still find being in the air as Northstar a detriment.

My only issue with the game is it's attrition or 10 minute queues.

Viper Thrusters generally, Armor Piercing is good situationally (see Complex - ceiling renders flight abilities useless and tight corridors force Titans into lines. Crash Site to a lesser extent.) Threat Optics isn't really worth it unless you're blind, enhanced Cluster right now is only really good if you absolutely hate Pilots, and Double Traps WOULD be good if it were two charges instead of the same charge that simultaneously shoots two which almost always stick to the same target.

Nuke is great for tether memes, Turbo is Turbo, extra smoke and overcore are good for protecting yourself against CQC ambushes, and I can't think of much else.

Is A-Wall + SMR the best way to take down titans solo? Sometimes my team of randoms let the enemy team have all 6 Titans roam around not even bothering to take them down, and pulling out batteries/Arc Grenades/C4/etc. isn't enough. I remember this one time I got melted as Scorch by an enemy pilot using said combination, and I just wanna be credit to team. Webm unrelated.

Just played a match as her. She assfucks titans hard and cluster missile is pretty good for getting rid of groups of grunts.
Drones are literal cancer to deal with as her though, however I'm not sure if electric smoke damages them yet.
Her Aegis kits are kinda meh, but they have uses.

Only played blackwater canal so far and it's been great for my northstar, topped the leaderboard easily
