Most of players cleared Babylonia and time temple on April (this was proved as fact brought by Shiokawa). That's when Merlin and Roman doujin began to appear en masse and Roman/Gudako began to dominate the rankings of girl's doujin sections (Tora general girls doujin ranking was dominated by Roman/Gudako one week, not just the fate version, the ship became stupidly popular). Those doujins Merlin and Roman have are all new as opposed to Arjuna's that are mostly of last year.

Doubt it. Something happens in game for a Servant to be summoned when they aren't in the pool. I just don't see how he could be when Da Vinci made it sound final he's gone in Agartha (though this happened with other characters like Bedi, but that was fixed immediately). The only way I can see this happening is:
