Nothing. The exchange rate for money to quartz with how bad the gatcha rates are means I'll never buy quartz no matter what. If I could spend like 20$ on something worthwhile I'd do it, but never quartz.

Look, if you have a roster of 50's and 60's and a high level Jeanne or Lancelot/Kiyohime/Tamamocat with a Kaleido on your friend list you'll do fine. The only fight that is "difficult" is the last fight on the last day and it won't be a problem. You only have to do it one time, so if worst comes to worse you can just burn a command seal or two and breeze through it.

I'm still undecided on who to grail. On the one hand, those good 2* and 3* characters seem like they would get a big boost out of 5 or 10 levels. On the other hand, a 4* or 5* pushed up to Lv100 is going to be a lot more noteworthy than a Lv80 Cu or even Georgios.
Also, it's hard to say how much a particular character would benefit from those extra levels beforehand.
That said, I'm unlikely to grail Medusa simply because I don't see much outstanding about her. Sure, she's fun and I like the character, but I'd have to wait a few years to say that I don't like anyone else more, to the point where I want a Lv80 or Lv90 Medusa Rider.

What decides this? I've noticed that Carmilla with no NP gain modifying CE of any kind gets like 60~70 charge in a single round of Brave Chain if I start it with Arts, and then her drain skill tops her off, while other servants take longer to work up to their NP even with NP gain CEs.

Do growth curves affect grailing? Like the servants with a reverse curve where most of their growth is in their mid levels, are they going to get crap stats from the extra grail levels, while S curves get a lot? Or is the Grail growth normalized?
Otherwise it seems like it's a better idea to grail servants that get more extra levels per grail than servants that only get 2 lvls. Especially if it's a commonly used servant. I don't have a 4* or 5* caster, so Medea sounds like a good grail target. Her skills are good, NP is 5 already and she can use it 3~4 times per fight.

Pair with kaleido or that other 60% one that's pretty common and a support waver and turn 1 aoe basically cuts a third off your farming time.
Skill 1 is... meh. I mean I almost always use it on turn 1, but if the enemy party chain targets or crits kiyo, she's still going down.
Skill 2 is a nice one to do before you do a bunch of singletarget Busters or NP on a target. If they survive, it'll be a nasty counterattack and someone will probably die on your side unless they hit your one of your evade/invuln buffed guys but that's not a guarantee, but it can make that buster chain or single target NP have a better chance of killing the target before they can benefit from the atk boost.

Grails grant normalized levels, from what I understand. Your Arash is going to get 40 levels of flat HP/ATK growth, unrelated to his normal growth curve. Gilgamesh gets 10 levels of the same flat HP/ATK growth. (I understand that it is the same growth rate for everyone with these grailed levels.)
Speaking from a gameplay standpoint, it seems like the best options are to grail characters who very much want the ATK/HP buffs and not grail characters who don't care about such stuff. As such, you'll see Merlin frequently sitting at just Lv90 (ungrailed) while you can find Lv90 4*, Lv80 3*, or even high leveled Arash or Asterios. Merlin doesn't give a shit about ATK or HP, he's there for his skills and NP. Arash absolutely loves the ten levels of ATK that a single grail gives him, though.
It also depends on how much you use the character. You might see the occasional Lv90 Arash on JP servers, but mostly you just won't see him at all because most people don't use him. There's no sense in grailing a servant you hardly use. It's better to grail someone you use regularly. Hence, the "grail your favorites" or "grail your waifu" advice.

Actually that's not really true, Kiyo usually survives quite well because you can use that skill staggered with wavers def skill so she has 6 turns of higher def.
I mean she's obviously no Jeanne d'Arc of survival, but for a berserker who'd typically go down in a matter of seconds that's fairly durable. It also helps that Kiyo has rather high HP. Her attack is low, but her HP is not bad.

I like them both, although you should probably be My Rooming them before deciding on that. The two don't get along together, or at least Medusa doesn't seem to like Medea much. I haven't thrown Medea into My Room to see what she talks able.
Two grails apiece to get them up to Lv80 isn't a bad idea. Heck, pushing them up to Lv90 isn't a bad idea either, although as I mention >>183699703 here, you'd want to be sure you are going to continue using them regularly. That's only a 4 grail investment for the biggest boost they will get, after all.
Both also have some 4* variants (Lancer Medusa, Gorgon, Medea Lily) to use as well.

If somebody is unfamiliar with the character, they might not recognize that Lv90 represents a grailed servant. You'd better believe that some people will think that Heracles has a natural max level of 90 without thinking about it.
On the other hand, Lv100 is unusually rare just because few people are going to grail servants up that high, and so it stands out more.

The problem is not the Dragon specifically, but that there are a lot of bosses who do have attacks which hit everyone in your party. The biggest concern is if those fights aren't going to be good for Lancelot or TamaCat, and so you might not be using them as much in those situations.
Still, it doesn't mean you shouldn't grail them. They're certainly still going to be good in grinding situations, and in fights where the enemy doesn't have group attacks.

I've never seen Kiyo die to 40AP doors and I used her in every battle. The doors barely tickle her with the def skill active. The hands get bonus damage on her, so in that case she can die if she's low level and gets focused down. But only at low level. Like level 50 maybe.
I've never seen her die after I ascended past 60. The current content in game isn't strong enough to whack her through the def skill easily enough that she'll die without being at low hp first.

Well for AoE fights, they have enough AoE currently to survive one round of those, and then you get the master spell evade to survive a second one. Unless you get really crap luck and arrive there without your NP, and get 2~3 turns where you can't do a brave chain with them, they should always get value.
And if you ever get lucked and pull up a buster chain with them, that's a guaranteed oneshot of everything I've faced so far. I even skip out on NP if I pull up a berzerker buster brain chain. Especially combined with damage buffs and armor debuffs on enemy.

I don't think it's really worth judging the skill based on big a difference it makes for a low level character, since the "die in a couple of hand crits" is a very universal problem to have when it comes to level 40-50 characters. Specially berserkers at that.
I mean it still makes her survive like 1 more hit, even at lower levels. So that's good. Every little bit helps. That skill could be the difference between bombing a wave with NP while having 100 HP left and being dead and not doing that. For the stun to work, the enemy has to survive. It doesn't have a 100% success rate either. The stun works quite reliably on hands if you fail to kill them in 1 turn. Usually 1-2 of them get stunned. It's less reliable on bosses and really tough enemies unless you overcharge the NP.
You can see the stun status pop up over the enemy at the end of the NP if it procs and the enemy survives.

The thing does NOT wipe your partition if you install it. Do not worry.
You can also put it on an USB-Drive in case you want to boot it that way. You only need one with 8GB or more due to 8GB being the minimum requirement for it.

All the work was in the shot, the pills are just insurance. But if you want to force a cat to take a pill and you haven't done any sort of training (remember this for the future, you should at least get any pet you have used to being touched in the face) you're just going to have to hold that bitch down and force it in there. Get some thick jacket and cradle your cat in one arm so that its ass is on your elbow and your hand is at its mouth. Force the mouth open and put the pill in. If it's struggling a lot you'll just have to hold it down until it swallows, otherwise you can massage its throat or use a syringe of water to help it down.
Also make sure to keep the scratch clean, it will help a lot.
