The Circle is not the correct solution. We all know what happened in the Gallows at Kirkwall: Mages being mistreated by the cruel and sadistic Templars. I think the best route would be keeping the Circles and Rite of Tranquility around, but with the Circle as a magic institution rather than a prison. Many people like keeping Morrigan and Alistair in their party, they have some good banter. I have heard Sten and Morrigan have some pretty good banter too. I personally liked Leliana's banter with pretty much every companion.

You should bring Leliana in the Temple of Sacred Ashes, Shale in the Deep Roads, Alistair/Loghain and Wynne in the Soldier's Peak dlc, Zevran in Honnleath Village, etc. This is all I can recall right now.

There are much fewer kossith than humans and their all out assault will result in the decimation of their army and the inability to wage war for a generation at best. Par Vollen becoming an autonomous province will be the best they can expect after this. The Qunari attacked the mainland with the entire Beresaad kith in 9:12 dragon and they were beaten back to the sea as soon as the army mobilized.

It is kind of implied that the Qunari were fleeing persecution, which isn't surprising. Their end goal is the conquest and conversion of all Thedas as sten explains. Remember, Orlais is a country they made peaceful overtures with and they still attempted to take it over with the dragon's breath operation. The Orlesians signed it so their biggest enemies fight indefinitely while they play with the rest of the continent in peace. It also helps that they had to give less to them The south only lost a city and had to tolerate the qun in northern Rivain while Tevinter was told to give up Seheron.

I assume you are on your first time playing DA:I?

Best way to equip your party is to craft their gear your own. If you lack the materials to craft brand new weapons and armor, then at least craft upgrades (Arms, boots, hilts, grips ...etc.) and put them in to the ones you already have.

Most merchant items and loot are bad.

If you play on a high difficulty, save money and buy literally nothing but schematics and crafting materials.
And if you play on a low difficulty, none of this matters desu and you should just run around with a naked party.

I finished reading the comic and have a question. Yavana says that Theirin Blood or Alistair's blood is needed to awaken the last remaining "Great Dragons". Does anyone know what is the difference between a Great Dragon and an Old God, and why she requires Theirin blood to release them from their slumber? She also mentions Calenhad Theirin, the first of the Theirin family, used his blood to awaken the Queen of the Dragons(a Great Dragon) and she is somewhere out there in Thedas.

I played Metal Gear Solid for the first time in 2013, when it was 15 years old. The graphics might not have aged all that well, but you know what? I still liked the way it looked. I still had a good time. Shit doesn't need to be bleeding edge to be visually appealing.

Romance is just the icing on the cake, in my opinion. It's more important that an RPG have a compelling story and setting, and interesting characters to populate it. If all you have to sell a game with is romance, then it might as well be a dating sim.

Okay, A: no they weren't. Ultima 4 and 5 let you play as a female character with all the same advantages as a male one, and those were from the 80s. Princess Maker 2 let you raise your daughter into a fighter, a mage, even a queen - in spite of some of the characters in the game encouraging her towards more domestic pursuits like cooking or child-rearing, the game really drove home that a girl could be whatever she wanted if she put her mind to it. Hell, Super Mario 2 let you play as Peach and get the sickest jumps. Just because not every woman in every older game is an overly badass Strong Independent Female doesn't mean that they're all sexist.

B: the only reason I haven't played older Bioware games is because I don't have a computer that can run them. I'm not saying you can't have your opinion, but don't presume that your experience is the standard by which everyone else's should be judged.

Really? That seems low but that's interesting. When Origins was announced to come out, I only knew a couple women who planned to play it. Fast forward to pre-DA3 release and the only people I knew who were excited about it were female. Basically everyone I knew had given up on the series (I had too). That was probably because DA2 was such a clusterfuck gameplay-wise though and really could only be used as a dating sim. I guess I actually have no idea what the DA fanbase consists of now.

Mostly to see how it's changed. It was just an idea that popped into my head. Maybe this place is not worth it now, but I had some really good times here before. Looking at old images in my folders made me nostalgic I guess. People used to post OC text stories about their Hawke or Warden and it would be really funny, we'd have waifu wars, the thread collages would be intense and some anons were either really good at photoshop or just had a lot of time. I even sold the art that came with my WoT Vol2 to someone on this board. It was kind of a haven for me when I wasn't spending time with a lot of people in person.
