It's so insignificant that for a very small number of rolls (let's say what you can roll while being f2p) there's no clear edge showing 10 rolls being better than singles.
There's also the "+1" bonus roll like there is on others games being absent in FGO and that's a big part of what usually makes the deal more attractive than single.From my own experience out of the 14 5* I got, less than a 1/3 of them were from 10 rolls, but it simply boils down to the fact that I'm kinda "'rolling every 3 quartz" more than saving for a binge session.
Not getting anything while rolling small amounts of quartz over time hurt much less than not getting anything after saving for a few months. Thtat's the appeal of singles for me.

Obviously the rates of getting anything gold in the gacha from a single roll are quite low. Out of any 10 given rolls, you have an approximate 10.7% chance of not getting any gold cards based on the numbers. But 10 rolls lowers that chance of not getting anything gold to 0%.
Other than that, the rates are completely indiscernible. Even if you only got 2 extra mana prisms, that still means the 10 roll resulted in a better gain than 10 consecutive silver cards. That's why it's objectively superior. Or perhaps it's more accurate to say that singles are objectively inferior since it's entirely possible to do thousands of singles and not get any gold cards at all. Highly unlikely, but not impossible.
