He has some points but he's wrong on others.

I can't believe how they streamlined some things but added other time wasting crap at the same time.

A problem in 3 and 4 is how long battles were when watching people shoot themselves or break a card EVERY time they want to use a spell. Now the characters summon their persona just from opening the persona menu, which is done with a single button instead of scrolling a list, so the spells are done quicker for the most part.

The post battle running is cool the first hundred times but gets old and takes too long, kickass music though. hold ups are way better than card shuffle in my opinion.

I agree with that. Outside of being the slimiest asshole in the game, Kamoshida is the only villain where you directly see how his reign of terror directly affects people. The other villains might be affecting society in a greater scale, but it's in an abstract matter that isn't as immediately apparent.

What I really found anticlimactic was how predictable it was that Akechi was the bad guy in P5. You could tell by the first look of his character design.
He looked so much like Light Yagami from Death Note, that it was too predictable to suspect him as the mental shutdown perpetrator.
It would've been actually surprising if he WASN'T the bad guy, but the clichée won in the end.

Whereas considering Akechi, for the most part of P4 it was ambiguous, guessing if he was the Inaba murderer or just a goofy, newbie detective assigned to the sticks. You didn't think at first "oh yeah, he's DEFINITELY the bad guy, because he just looks evil like some other character I've seen somewhere before."

In the end Atlus could have been more creative when creating the character of Akechi and don't make him a blatant ripoff of Light.

Let's hope P6 won't use such cookie cutter stereotypes for the characters, they should surprise us for a change.

Before the game released I assumed Akechi was the red herring traitor and Mishima was the real traitor. I actually don't think I would have been able to tell Akechi was the traitor if I wasn't spoiled before release.

As someone who's directed trained and untrained actors before I can tell you that the dividing line between the two is the ability to say literally anything with a straight face. Literally the first thing I thought when I saw Akechi was "OH hey there light yagami", and I called him that for the rest of the game.

When he joined the party, there were 2 things I noticed. 1, the game forces you to use him in a fight which shows off how strong he is. 2, he only had 4 confidant abilities with no future ones to unlock. Right then and there I knew he wasn't a permanent party member, which meant either he was going to die, or going to betray you. But I was actually right on both guesses. Far too many hints to be a good twist.

But the plot twist isn't Goro being the traitor, you're so focused on that the possibility of him being a Wild Card flies over your head. The hints are actually there in how his Confidant with you starts when he's outside (Which no other Confidant has) and how he comments that meeting you feels like fate etc. and also in the way Yaldy hints that this other guy and you are destined to cross paths but as far as I know no one actually noticed these things until he finally revealed he's not left-handed- Er, has two Personas.
