I have a wiiu with a region set to be other than usa and my brother made a nnid account with that setting. Now I'd like to install haxchi but for it I need to enter the eshop and I got my hands on a prepaid usa card, which says it can only be used with usa nnid accounts.
Because of the above, I went to change the region of my wiiu but in doing so it warned me something like not being able to access online gaming and eshop if I did so. I'm assuming it meant for the nnid, am I correct? If so, then I will be able to access the eshop, create an account and buy the game using the prepaid card. But then, after I install haxchi, would that make that nnid account unusable? If possible I'd like to save it because of the progress my brother has on it in online gaming, since he seem to care about it, but we are willing to sacrifice it if there is no way to recover it if it means we can install haxchi.

So I'm reading the PS3 page on the Homebrew General wiki and since it was a PS3 Slim I had to check the model number & etc. The model number was CECH-25XXX with a datecode of 1A so I had to use the one thing to check the lowest firmware version it can go to. My question is the wiki says if it says 3.50 it's good and if it doesn't that means it can't be downgraded, does that mean anything else in general is bad or anything above 3.50 is bad and ones below 3.50 are good? I ask since my PS3 said 3.40. Sorry if this is a very dumb question by the way.

Mode changes lead to desyncs, you have to remember for all intents and purposes the game thinks it's running on a gamecube, it knows only of gamecube things and bluetooth controllers aren't one of them.
It's basically a mini matrix world for the game where a few things are magically swapped out behind the scenes, it thinks it's talking to a disc drive but in reality it's being funneled data from the usb/sd. It's all the same to a machine really as long as it's told what it wants to hear.
It has absolutely no idea what a bluetooth module is and the gamecube mode doesn't either since it was disabled.

This is also why you can't just abuse ds games on the 3ds via flashcart for arm9 access, but you can dsiware because they need it to function.

How fucking great is nintendont though i mean really, thats something to be smug about.

just a while ago I did something very foolish and until now I've realized it. Fucking lack of sleep and me being an idiot.

I got a prepaid card to get brain age for my wiiu and get haxchi, so I scratch the card and stupidly scratch some characters by doing so. So yeah, I thought about contacting nintendo support to get the credit withouth realizing how stupid that is. So I did. they asked me for a photo of the card and I gave them one, then they asked me for my nnid and serial of my wiiu and I gave those.
My wiiu has installed out of region games and with fake dlc, so if they even so much as investigate a little about my console, they will find it has homebrew and I guess they can ban it. I really don't know what's the extent of what they can do knowing that but if they can disable me using the browser, then I'm fucked and won't be able to install haxchi, let alone use mocha as I have been doing until now. If someone knows, then please do tell me so I at least know what may come to me.
I could have use a credit card to buy the game and nothing wrong was going to come from it despite the unusable card.

Fuck I wish I hadn't done that. Just to try to save a few bucks I might actually lose the whole wiiu because of my foolishnes.
I feel like shit and I guess I deserve.

i'm pretty sure that no one has ever been banned on wii u. it seems like they don't pay attention at all, though that's what people thought about 3ds, too, until they started rolling out bans for cheating and then for just using homebrew. never heard of them disabling a single person's browser for any console, but they do disable the browser for old firmwares on 3ds after they reach a certain age. at any rate, if you just accidentally sacrificed the online functionality of your wii u, it can be a learning experience for everyone in the scene, so keep us updated. and don't freak out about it; what's done is done.

Hi people, I need some help with a friend trying to run my old R4 on his console.

Before you say it doesn't work, it does. I can't remember what shit did I install on mine but it runs the first R4 model.
But that was when Aurora's patched twl_o3ds file was around and you could set FBI to directly install on the nand.
The new FBI doesn't have that option, at least not like it worked in the past and I think this is the file to make his 3ds run my flashcart.
I know messing with the nands is dangerous so I'd rather ask, where do I have to copy that cia? CTR NAND or TWL NAND?

Also, he also has the latest everything (Luma and all that) which is supposed to automatically patch the twl firm but running the R4 just as is still gives errors.
