Have you ever successfully talked a rando on your team into switching characters? Did you win after?

I've never been able to convince anyone to switch in competitive and it's really bad because I keep running into roadhog mains who think he is still viable.

how can anyone play comp on console? I tried it yesterday on ps4 and I didnt get a single good game because everyone plays it literally like braindead bronze level qp. Atleast on pc not every team in diamond is trolling and throwing.

Take note that you are first and foremost a tank so defending your team is a priority over following and killing people, unless it's a Mercy, in which case follow her because her rez will definitely fuck your team up.

It's not so much the heroes that are played but the way they're played. Previous metas were about teams being centered on a core of rein, the supports and a flex pick while two flankers looked for a pickoff.
Dive is about jumping on an enemy and deleting them before the team can react then hoping you can catch the enemy dva out of position so she can't soak fire.

Heroes like Orisa, Junkrat, Hanzo, Widow, Mei, Bastion, Sym, Torb seeing ridiculously small levels of play. Even Reaper sees absolutely shit play in comparison to the other dps because he's so immobile and niche dependent on map locales, but he's just not quite as on the trash pile as the rest of the defense heroes + Orisa.
Sombra can even be considered a failure in terms of a dps hero considering she only gets played on niche points to exploit health packs on defense as opposed to soldier tracer genji getting played everywhere all the time.

But blizz doesn't touch them. Every fucking patch its

Why will nobody make the first-person-shooter game with D.C. or Marvel characters duking it out, with high power (i.e Superman, The Flash, Dr. Strange), mid power (i.e Iron Man, Batman, Spiderman) or low power (such as Daredevil or Nightwing) tiers restricting what hero or villain you can pick? It would sure get a lot more players and potential than Overwatch, both due to the brand name and the fact that you can balance separately for separate tiers.

Plus, it'd make me never have to play Overwatch again, which is good, since the game is far too low power.

Like okay, I get that some people like Deathmatch, sure. It's great. But at a very immediate glance it should be clear that's not what Overwatch is for or even balanced to accomodate. Why would you go to Overwatch for TDM gameplay?

I still stand by the idea that Quick Play is essentially a lost cause at this point and we need an Unranked Competitive section or something. Somewhere that people can queue if they want something resembling teamwork, but aren't in top form for real Competitive. Of course, Quick Play should just be that Unranked Competitive and people should go to Arcade/Customs for other gameplay styles, but QP is too far gone with the communities mentality towards it now.

I always test the waters when with the healer. I'll purposefully get damaged then run back to them to see how long it takes to heal me. A decent amount of the time when we have either a mercy or ana or a zen. They'll just ignore me.
And that's how I know that in an actual fight they're unreliable trash and I'll just run to a health kit.
