the only thing I'm concerned about with DBF is that the regular ki blasts look pretty shitty. Isn't that like blazblue characters all having shitty drives? I wish it was used in combos and block strings and stuff

also it has that guilty gear thing where you gain meter by moving forward. I don't really like the focus on offense

I might get marvel infinite on PC I don't really want to as there will be another version this time next summer.

I can only hope so. Fighting games were real rough about "cant sleep on the first iteration or you wont know tech and matchups moving forward." GG is still guilty~ about this but since they include an entire OVA with each release it doesn't feel as bad.

I would still prefer a downloadable update for earlier iterations but acsys seems pretty dependent on this release schedule for their income.

Capcom isn't gonna be the only sucker not doing this regardless of the community outcry which is why I'm really hesitant to purchase infinite until at least a year later.

Unfortunately I think monster hunter being a playable character might make me cave and buy it at the first paycheck I get with a nice chunk of expendable income for my budget.

I'd really rather play DBZF but thats not out for 8 months or so. Infinites aesthetic definitely needs more polish since the marvel series always felt closer to anime fighters. They should include a filter to make characters look closer to UMVC3 since a lot of them are the same models.

Anyway, try her unique moves out, that's where the interesting shit is at. There's one for crossups, one for going under fireballs, one of the best anti-airs in the game, one for bouncing off niggas in the air, and she also has an air-grab. She's indeed pretty good if you just wanna learn normals.

Links basically is when you hit an opponent with an attack, wait for the attack to completely recover then immediately follow up with another one to combo. They rely on frame advantage (say if your attack finishes in 15 frames and it puts your opponent in 20 frames of stun, you have a +5 frame window). If the second hit starts up fast enough (say, in 3 frames) and you press it precisely enough, they will combo. Since frame advantage for most attacks are small, links are precise.

I play Cammy. I try to jump in with delayed dives but the guy in front is actually M U C H better than me (the newbie beat me through the use of sweeps and c HP, I got overconfident), he usually anti airs me without problem or simply blocks, delay tech throw, stuff like that. I can hardly break his defense, I always feel like Cammy lacks an overhead.

I don't get the appeal of GG or BB. Not many villains who are badasses, if there's villains it's pretty boy AKA faggot anime characters. It's like I'm fighting with a bunch of deviantART OCs. Not going to lie Bedman is cool, Faust is interesting, but so many of these come off as Coldsteel or waifu appeal and not remotely fun on a design level.

Fighting games have a weird way of doing villains anyway. Street Fighter actually has only a few real evil characters and most are neutral even if they're technically on the bad side. SFV for example, these characters are what, Bison, Fang and Urien?
