zbarb uses raekors set to pull mobs, make globes and scout ahead on the map.

znecro uses tragouls to tank, shit out globes like theres no tomorrow, pulls mobs via cursing, and in my opinion doe everything that barb does but better (except scout).

not enough players on d2. i know lots of people still play diablo 2(i do too, like once a year or so), but its spread across multiple private servers, some of which are modded. so its hard to find a large or even just a good community.
not sure about the state of the official servers. do you know if d2 has received any kind of updates since d3 came out? i imagine if it has not received any, or very few updates, then people might get bored of official servers sooner or later.

modded servers are pretty great though. even small things like removing iron maiden from chaos sanctuary can change things up so much

Necromancer solo leveling is a fucking pain in the ass, it becomes relevant/usable once you get 4 pieces of the set they are giving away

Because it's poorly balanced at low levels, and incredibly useless at 70. The story is a joke, specially if you're playing in normal, it's designed to be clearable by a semi-blind old woman with parkinson.

Everything you do and earn before 70 is mostly useless, except for some select legendaries to extract their ability in the kanai cube.

It really feels like they just cobbled necro together with whatever they could. The class just feels so half finished with all these reused assets for half the minions.

Why should I play the season?
I get it that it's a fresh start and all that, but is there seriously nothing else about seasons?
I'm from PoE where each new league brings about a cool new mechanic that actually motivates you to play the new league, so having the seasons be (as far as I can tell) essentially just a chance to reset your account feels pretty boring.

You can do the same item twice. The effect that you get is boosted to the highest level possible. For example, I want to cube my Trag'oul Scythe, which has a modifier saying I do 188% increased damage on cursed enemies. When using the effect via the cube, that damage bonus would always be 200% (the max value), no matter what it said on the weapon when it was used.

Because the legendary is poorly worded. It has two separate effects- one for grim scythe, and one for increased damage on cursed enemies. You don't have to use Grim Scythe if you don't want to, it just makes applying curses a one button process.

No fucking clue, it's a stupid feature that I can't imagine anyone wanting.
It's in the settings though, under Gameplay->Item Label Display. Set it to Push to toggle(On/Off). On makes it reasonable, Off sets it to the same as default.

Necro is quite fun, as long as you don't care about being the best and using only the meta builds.

All of the top Necro Builds right now revolve around waiting for Land of the Dead and Simulacrum cooldowns (120s base, obviously a lot lower in game) to do anything. Otherwise they just teleport around looking for elites.

It's incredibly fucking dull, but if you don't care about being #1 Rift Master Professional, you can have fun with other builds.

A Rathma's Minion build is great. They do a TON of damage when you have the right legendaries (Although some of them seem incredibly rare).

It suffers from a huge problem that, when it dies, it has to build up its damage reduction from 0% again, making you very susceptible to chain deaths.

If I have a set in mind, how do I efficiently work towards it?
I understand that certain armor pieces are better to upgrade to from rares, while others are okay to gamble for with blood shards. Are there some generally useful legendaries and set pieces that can be easy to find in the meantime?
