The new player experience is with the shit gear seems to be a problem, thankfully it doesn't last long.

Is it possible to stack ink defense on all your gear and become a terminator?

Bucket weapon seems a bit overpowered, the only time I've been able to kill those motherfuckers is by hiding in ink and surprising them or flanking them while they're targeting someone else.

This game really needs public voice comms, most of the reason I've been dominating is because I hold an important middle section of the map and stay under the ink, ganking people who try to come up on me as well as protecting my teammates by flanking on their fights. The only way to counter this kind of shit is to say "hey, I'll go from the left, you from the right, let's remove that problematic motherfucker who is camping mid" but instead they all keep coming one by one.

Game's okay I guess but it's being held back by nintendo's phone bullshit.

More like just use common sense in a game that is pretty formulaic by design and already provides you with basically all the info/intel about the match without input from your teammates. Really the only thing I see voice chat doing you couldn't do/know normally is setting up specific pushes with the whole team since that can be difficult to convey otherwise. The game tells you basically everything else like enemy positions, special charges, what team is in the lead, when someone is using their special, etc.

the buckets arent any more strong than other weapons. theyre just easier to understand in the beginning. as the community learns how to play the game you wont be bothered be them.

ambushing, flanking, and strategic outmanuvering is the name of the game. bullets dont fly across the map, youll see your enemies and theyll see you. if youve got shorter range, you have to make up for it in some way. speed and manuverability are valuable

That's what the "Ouch" ping is for, a good team would check what's going on/where and ideally understand what's happening if someone tried to stop them and failed. Someone who pays attention to the map is also going to notice there's a nice big enemy ink trail suddenly leading into their side from a flank. A way to ping the map area specifically would've been nice though.

The lazyness involed with Callie in the postgame makes me think it will happen. It would have been almost no effort to put here somewhere, but she's not. Besides, why do you think they'd plan out some kind of expansion for the single player mode when it's the multiplayer the game is built around? in menus and games, your switch reads an rgb value from your joy cons to display them in the correct color on screen.
So if you're playing mk8 with a red and blue, the red player will have a red icon and blue will have a blue icon, same thing with system menus

When did I say anything about single player? I meant that Callie isn't in Octo Canyon because they never intend to put her there. Or rather, it would be pointless, since soon after she'd be moved to whatever she and Marie are doing elsewhere. If they meant for the Sisters to be stuck in single player, they would have put Callie there for some proper closure to the buildup they wrote.

Again, only time will tell. But they left a clear method to explain the delay and were lazy in a way that's inexcusable otherwise, so I'll hold out hope for now.

Was hoping for a weapon with a sprinkler sub and ink storm special, but guess that's not going to be a thing. The whole weapon/sub/special distribution is pretty horrid this time around. Can only hope post release weapons fix some of this. Guess I'll stick to dualies for the time being.

I'm super excited for the Jet Squelcher, Poison Mist and Tenta Missiles sound perfect. I pretty much only used Squelcher and bucket weapons in the first so I hope the Duals get just as good sets. That Tri-Slosher nerf because Ink Armor is trash sucks.

Until level 17 I'll probably just use the Tentatek and the Slosher. Maybe the Pro. Splash-o-Matic sounds great whenever I get to 25.

Practice the gyro aiming. It's used for very precise changes in aim. If it doesn't work out for you, full stick aiming is possible. Also change your aim sensitivity for a better experience.

Killing is not the primary goal of Turf War. Shoot empty ground or enemy ink to win games. Only shoot walls for mobility in squid form. Some walls/ground can't be covered at all. You'll know it when you see it.

Practice all of the guns. Shooters, chargers, and rollers all have different styles of play, so one of them is bound to work out well for you. Also, the sets you get are the sets you play with. Weapon mains, subs, and specials are not interchangeable, so if you like one set, you'll be sticking with it forever.

If you want to superjump to a teammate, press X, press a direction of a living teammate, then press A. Pressing A is the most important part of this because you will not jump until you do. If you don't press A, all you'll do is continue to send signals to your friend. Take note that enemies will see a small marker indicating where you'll land. Be sure you're safe before you jump or you're fucked.

If you have your special ready, try your best to not die before you use it. If you die, you lose a portion of your special. How much you lose is based on your gear and weapon.
