Square Enix gave everyone an incentive to move to it so they did, pretty normal procedure.

Except they fucked up and left it open for too long. After a week or two they announced it had reached the same population as the other EU servers but rather than stopping the incentive or closing the world to character creation/transfers they left it open for TWO WEEKS with the incentive still in place.

I had the pleasure of seeing "Players in queue: 1800" every day. I think it's ok now though, highest queue I've seen in the last few days at peak time was 50

How the fuck do I get into this game? I've made multiple characters and eventually quit on them by the time I'm out of the labyrinth starting zones either because of being bored with the class I chose or with my character's appearance. No.

The gear they hand out from main story/quest hubs is HQ gear of the quest level, and with expansions will always be better than everything short of the best raid gear from previous expansion.

In the case of HW, you didn't upgrade your dreadwyrm/130 gear until mid 50's. In the case of SB, you won't upgrade your alexandrian/260 gear until 65. Quests will carry you every step of the way.

I need help with something... so when my free month had yet to end, I paid for 180 days of playtime. I got a message saying I paid 0 dollars for the current cycle (which I took as something normal because of the free time) but now that this time ended, I got a message saying I paid 15 dollars for 30 days.
