Ricochet was a really fun game mode. Used it to get Venator. Beat downs, Assassin medals (punch somebody in the back but no animation), regular assassinations, plasma sticks, boltshot charge shots to the face.

Had a few friends that would compete in MLG events around Halo 3 and Reach, and Reach nearly destroyed competitive Halo. The maps were bad so they had to Forge them, the guns were poo as the DMR was the only thing worth using.

personally all i did was play FireFight and Zombies since the maps were so shit that it made any btb style gametype unenjoyable. As a btb player in halo2, that loved vehicle combat, halo 3 and Reach were absolute death traps as Bungie threw more Rockets and explosives into the game with each release.

A bit new to /hg/ because I picked up Halo 5 finally after getting the game pass some weeks ago. Any tips, tricks? I see hunters and knights beefed up or i got shit, because people with ghosts pretty much shit on me now. Also, how often will I pull gun skins? I kind of want something simple other than the default now.

If you plan on unlocking everything, start with silvers. Otherwise just do gold packs.

Halo 4 has infinity and composer which are 7/10 at best. all the others i wouldn't put above 2/10.

Halo 5 has 3 levels where you just walk around and talk to people. any level with a warden battle after the first encounter doesn't get anything higher than a 4/10. everything else is a 6/10 at best.
