frfr's Granberia has looks more 3 dimensional because of his depth of shading; this Granberia looks flat in comparison, as though it were a bad cutout. While the difference may not be that qualitative, I feel as though the old design was far more intimidating because of it; it also helps that she's introduced as a larger than life figure in the VN. Of course, this Granberia is presented much differently in the story and goes for a different effect, but I can't help but prefer the previous design.
