Guys, it's a little unrelated and a bit farfetched, but what if part the reason capcom is shitting the bed with their fighting games (mainly marvel in this case) is because SNK snatched up Neo_G? I mean if you look at link related he worked on marvel 2 and 3 as well as CvS2.

Also I think that the rumor about him leaving capcom being because they only had him writing manuals might be true. Look at the last things he worked on for capcom by date. All manual writing work except that one phoenix wright game in which he was a production assistant. No wonder he said yes when Oda approached him about making a fighting game and he jumped on for XIV.

SNK representation in a new Project X Zone could work well as a next step, or a Soul Calibur X Samurai Shodown, since Harada's really fond of SS.

Geese was well-received, but I'm not quite sure Namco or NK feel ready to set up an entirely new set of game mechanics for a broad crossover when they have a few viable ones they can adapt for that purpose.

If they were setting Neo_G aside in such a manner it's probably because fighting games weren't being treated as a priority for them (Monster Hunter and Resident Evil seem to be bigger titles for them in recent history,..), and the likes of Ono have probably been hoarding any accolades on the topic... maybe there have been some internal Capcom politics at play...

In any case, the FG know-how there has clearly deteriorated or moved elsewhere, leaving in charge people who don't fully understand the games or their audience, while taking for granted SF's status in the genre.

I'm curious to see if given enough time they'll revise how they think about these things, but for now I'm just glad to see just about every other developer willing to cooperate with each other to put up a fight and put together interesting things that would not have been possible separately.

Engines don't magically make models. You can use Unreal engine to model untextured boxes floating around and it looks just as shitty as you might imagine.

Although my computer does this weird thing sometimes in which it'll do something akin to clicking outside the window I'm on. Even if I'm on firefox on full screen it'll do something like that. It was a pain in the as to play games on emulators. I don't know what the cause is. In KOF 14, is Geese overpowered or broken?

Geese is my main, he's really fun to play, but a friend says he's a little broken because he doesn't seem to have any flaws in his gameplay.

Extremely good counters, strong rekkas, fullscreen fireballs and great air fireballs, an OTG, great air normals, the easiest 80+ percent damage combo in the game (in corner air hk, hp, toward lp xx rekka xx EX final reppuken, raging storm, OTG).

What does /neog/ think of Geese? Is he broken? Or does he have flaws that we're missing?

He is not broken per se, more like hard to master really since you need to know how to play against your opponents character and pinpoint read and anticipation of what your opponents way of thinking. Geese fireball game can be outmatched by far more proficient shoto's like Athena and a lot of opponents will already anticipate the danger of being countered since it will not only stop them dead on their track but will also grant you a very good opportunity to mix them up on wake up, which leads to them being more cautious and harder to bait them to make stupid mistakes. Good thing though is that Geese has incredibly good offensive options with his normals being very solid and fast, even comparable to Takuma if you ask me. His damage is of course top notch as expected but the thing is that landing such damage first by cracking your opponents shell is easier said than done since I already said earlier that your opponent will be more overly cautious since he is fighting Geese.

Putting totally different kind of moments in some kind of arranged list is obviously way subjective.

Like there was three different Grand Finals in EVO that had really impact for me and all for different reasons.
KoF finals were great altogether, but the thing was the moment, the Daimon super. A singular thing that happened and elevated it to a new level.
Can't remember any singular moment in BlazBlue grand finals, but it was long back and forth set, really even and really tense and I love that shit. 2-2 after reset is the place where tension is made.
Street Fighter grand finals were all about the people and the story. Tokido finally getting 1st place on evo, Punk being young newcomer and reaching that high. The matches were decent, but it was the people playing that made that one special.

Three totally different, great grand finals. No need to put them in any particular order and I probably couldn't do it even if I wanted to.

Makes me wonder when will Saisyu go out and challenge Rugal in the anime/3d anime that we are getting. Essentially, it means that the english server is turd compared to the wallet masters at the spanish/chinese/japanese regions. Two guilds from the spanish region found a way to trick the region matchmaking system and slipped into the english region, since there's no harsh resitance for them here, this is extremely easy for them.
