This, gameplay wasn't too great. The grind for upgrading units is silly, there's an extreme focus on pvp arena and I'm not a fan of pvp and difficulty spike is silly as well. Can clear middle difficulty by like first week with some upgrade units but you can't clear highest difficulty without new units, broken summoners or other shit.

The 3D models really do look awful considering how pretty decent and great some of the art is.

Can I get a little direction in Houkai? I started recently and I'm only level 20 so I can't do open world yet, what should I be doing?

I'm just progressing through the game on hard, but it's giving me a level block to continue and in the map select there is like 3 more stage sets available in the right column and some event stages or something on the right column?

I'm just really not sure what I should be grinding towards and what's useful to me. I'm doing the "do the stage which drops piece of the costume you want 3 times" thing but I'm not sure what else I should be doing at this level. Can I grind for better weapons at any of the current events?

Purple crystal quests for weapon exp
Orange crystal quests for stigmata exp
Chip quests for character exp
That other one with different shaped crystals for evo fodder, today is diamond ones

They're all good to have, even if you don't need them right away. If you're in the armada, the armada quests (green room) mostly ask for that kind of stuff.

For weapons, there's weekly quests that cycle. First difficulty gives a 3* version, third (lv50) gives a 4*. Guaranteed drop the first time, rare drop after.

They're not great, but they can be good for filling gaps. Especially if you're saving gems while waiting for a useful gacha.

Keep playing the story on normal, unlock Hard 1-25 (Assault Mei), 1-31 (Shield Bronya) and 2-5 (Saint Kiana) whenever you can and farm fragments there. All of them are solid characters. Pick one if you don't want to spend all your AP farming characters. Whenever you're bored of the story you can go to the Extra Gaiden to get some Himeko fragments, weapons and stigmatas.

The current vs Bronya event quest node 1 and 3 gives a sword for Himeko on first clear. Every week there is a different quest which gives a different weapon. They aren't particularly strong but some have useful skills. Still better than nothing.

As for the weapon event, I don't think my girls are strong enough for that yet. I've barely cleared the Bronya fight, was essentially in a constant state of buttclench timing my dodges.
Really all I want is just a different launcher for Bronya. The early ones have her tiny body shudder with every missile she fires, so if you fire it in slomo, half of that slomo is just her getting all the rockets out. I know she gets different projectiles and I would fucking LOVE one where a full charge shot doesn't take longer to fire than it does to charge in slo-mo.
Is there one that drops anywhere in the story or is it off to the equipment gacha for me? The stats don't matter as much as the firing delay to me.

Firing is all based on weapon type, Bronya has a few different weapon categories.

All but laser charge by stages (up to 3.)

Basic rockets: 1/2/3 shots that fire straight
Guided missile: Smaller shots that arc out then home in. Available in 2/5/11 and 3/7/15 varieties
Laser: Fires continuously until you stop or it overheats. More damage at close range.

I used to like the 3/7/15 homing for spamming 2-charge and building up combo. But then I tried lasers, and now I won't use anything else.

They're all available at lower rarities, but I don't remember specific stages they drop. Weekly quests give a laser and a normal rocket, but dunno when they'll be back again.

Marcos players tend to have 1/2 shields, a heal and whatever else (teleport, slow, nuke, damage buff), and Nohos usually have a shield, telepass/heal and two armour-piercing cards. Marcos' stick can be used to hunt down gunners or stunlock whoever else, so that probably makes him win more. Noho has a really strong basic attack that tends to quickly kill anyone close enough, she's difficult to fight against up close.

I actually haven't come across anyone using the new cards, might be because the chance of getting an UR from those chips is incredibly slow.

Dunno for me before getting oscroll used sharehouse charlotte with motif, took like a minute or so a level, check for shit, sometimes re-do maybe a couple hours for an island. Using Oscroll you can clear like every level and secret stage in 30s or so until about island 5-8 where they just shove teleporters and that stuff down your throat and slow you down. Islands 8-10 pick up again and 11 is another psuedo-slog with some of the stages.

Yeah, just clear, not 100%. Without stam to worry about, clear speed is pretty much just about how much you can stand to do at once.

Also, island 10 hard 100% gives you a xsaber weapon that points out chests. So that helps when you go back through for the 100%, if you run into any stubborn hidden chests.

Entirety of the Flora Weapon Gacha (Fragrance) aside from the three Story 3 weapons has been switched out and updated to the Neo-Fragrance set.

It's surprisingly easy once you learn what he can do. His moveset is the same as the normal one but with extra ice shit. Also in this particular co-op stage if you die you get a damage bonus so it's not so bad.

Hit them with normal attack until you see a mark appear on them, then use her branch attack. Perfect dodge and QTE will automatically mark them too. If you want to avoid the F2P ceiling, rather than recommending any specific game at this point, you should start a game from its release. Devs care about player opinions, regular character balances, game updates, QoL changes to game mechanics. Events so far, unfortunately one being their 100 days celebration, are super generous. Graphics are very impressive for this type of game, character models look exactly like card art, costumes are being released so you can play dress-up, you can get all characters in the game for free albeit at a slower gain then buying them. Premium currency gain is a little slow but you get enough from story clear and weekly quests to get yourself a roster of your choosing within a week or 2 modest play.

The devs though are why I've really appreciated the game since the slightest goof or mess-up they usually are generous with compensation. Right now actually they're doing a survey that gives you $10 just for filling it out. They've been pretty attentive to the playerbase so far. They're probably banking a lot on this franchise succeeding. With all the content across different mediums that exists already for Tenka, it's also likely that they're positioning for an anime adaptation. Hopefully they'll keep up the good work.

If that's not there and it's not the daily limit, probably just need to bring them along for more missions. So just switch to someone else for now and keep them in the party as much as you can.

Ah, forgot to check twitter. Already found someone with a new weapon and wow, these really drop petals everywhere they appear.

It's nice that everything is various degrees of useful, but I'm getting by fine with what I've got. No reason to upgrade with no senbatsu in sight. Especially thinking about all the stuff I want to roll for, I'd better stay away from everything that doesn't have the skill burst sub. Want to keep my hard story gems until I really need them too. And for claw, it's probably best to wait for when there's two useful ones in main gacha, though waiting for that to happen might be tough.

It runs very well on my S6 but multiple people, including myself, have had sometimes where the game makes the phone run pretty hot. I've actually started running it on Memu and it plays gorgeously with that, doing high performance obviously. Attention wise if you're just doing maintaining with farming, clearing daily stuff it's like 20mins tops. I usually burn a couple pots like 7-10, let it auto in the background and see what I get for equipment or carry raids for others for gear chance. If you're first playing just go far as you can, you'll know when you hit roadblocks that require LBs which for most people is around chapter 3 / beginning of 4, but with maintenance tonight they said they're adjusting difficulty of chapters 1-5 all difficulties so who knows after.

No reroll, you play for 5 days and during the 5 days they give you a 2* ticket for any 2* hero, and a 3* hero ticket for any 3* hero no labeled new. I say 2* / 3* cause there's a difference for the start, but all heroes can go to 5* and Transcendence 2 and all be viable (except Leo since he's a pvp meme).
