When you toss out crew comforts and an average tanker height of like 5'6'' or less, yeah, you can make them pretty small. Which also means when they get hit, everyone fucking dies in the sardine can.

In comparison, American rolling hotels where you can clamber over your crew and someone can be wanking in the engine deck unseen, tend to survive being shot a little better because everyone isn't ass-to-face on top of one another in operation.

Jets are fun because the fights start sooner and last longer. You don't spend five to ten minutes climbing and hunting for a fight that's either decided in one minute or ends with a chase back to the airfield. Jets spend a couple minutes getting up to speed, meet, and start a drawn out battle of aim and energy management. When you run out of ammo or take damage, you can be back at the airfield and back in the fight very fast as well.

Depends on the heavy fighter really, some are garbage and should never be used for anything but groundpounding or arcade (Me-410s, Do-217s, mosquitos) some can function pretty much the same as a regular fighter, just faster and heavily armed (P-38s, F7F, F-82) and the BF110 and early Jap heavy fighters are literal rape machines.

yeah they're the best heavy fighters good choice. Be careful cause enemy planes can still be very fast so make sure you're getting a big energy advantage on them. Also you might want to set a key for firing small caliber weapons only, i use spacebar. This way you can save the 37mm rounds for bombers and use the 20mm cannons on fighters

I know. I took a two year break from the game before caving and getting back into it.
I used to play Germans since nobody else would and it would be a struggle. I got up to the Tiger before saying fuck it and hoping over to USSR.
Now I've been playing a bit of everything, maybe a slight leaning towards British since they're new to me (Churchill is nowhere near as good as I hoped so far but I'm still grinding stuff on it), and it feels like loss after loss. To the point that when I want to just relax and win, I hope into some Germans tanks with a Stuka in the lineup.
Supposedly it becomes easy to beat the Germans around Tier IV.

Which brings up the question "Why the fuck can't Gaijin balance anything?"

Throwing diesel on fire is a different thing from hitting a diesel tank with no oxygen inside. Diesel and Jet fuel needs to be atomized not vaporized to burn like gasoline.
