Nioh has a much more in depth combat system, but there are more enemies in BB and almsot all of them have larger movesets than nioh enemies. there are no real phases to fights in nioh they just get more aggressive.

I'm in Sekigahara region on WotD, dealing about 1500 damage per strike (Spear), but all of the people I summoned for the Gasha skeleboss level look I just couldn't be bothered, and they kept suiciding it seemed were dealing upwards of 5000 damage. Now I know that the kunai cheese can reach 15,000 damage per shot, but should I be concerned about my damage output?

Having a good weapon is the most important part, but there are so many variables that can contribute to your damage. You have your weapon obviously, also whatever ranged weapon is currently active, your armour, the set bonuses from all those items, the accessories, your normal levels, you skill points in samurai/ninja/onmyo, spirit guardians, prestige points and then any temporary buffs ontop of it all.

but I've taken my 200 +20 oni sakon spear with killing blow and familiarity A bonuses, used a reincarnation to be level one, only bought skills for parry and spearfall and I was able to beat marobashi by triple comboing each dude. Your raw damage doesn't really change for regular attacks. it's when you do stuff like have starred skill effects on your weapon pairing with attack from behind, plus spirits and weapon set effects that massive boost damage from behind and suddenly you are one shotting WotD bosses.

I know I'll get hate for this but I have 15 minutes left, anyone have a spare 14 day trial for ps plus? Need it for the destiny 2 beta

How's this build for Odachi? I just started NG+ and wanted to try something different

I combined Saika's, Muneshige's and Shigezane's set to get +26% close combat damage and +10A/D from Raiken. Not sure about the stats, though. It has the minimum to use the sets, some Magic, the minimum to use Raiken and the rest was pumped mainly in Strength, with some in Body and Heart

When you reforge a stat, it'll only be able to be rerolled to something in the same pool, right? Enemies Defeated Damage Bonus can turn into Agility Damage Bonus but never into Mid Attack Ki Damage, for example

Also, what's the thing they added with the DLC where you can pick the bonus you want?

if your weapon doesn't have anything from the Ki pool or the damage pool and you reforge on effect it will pick at random from those pools. The particular slot you are reforging is not locked into a specific pool.

when you are selecting your weapon to reforge instead of hitting X, hit triangle to temper. This brings up a list of effects you can choose from.. normal umbracite gives 3 choices of low level, quality 3 that are a bit better, fabled gives 2 choices of rare effects and divine (if you ever get it) gives another 2 choices of rare effects. same rules apply for pools, it just take a little bit of randomness out of choosing. the list of options tempering gives you changes after you normally reforge two different effect slots. So you can use this to exploit the system and save materials. When you have a new weapon you plan to upgrade, first use temper and check what rolls that gives you for each slot. pick out any good ones or don't, then use cheap spirit iron to reforge the effects normally a couple of times, then check each slot with umbracite again. this way you can quickly find top tier effects from each pool and apply them and lock those pools out, so with the pools remaining you can either try your luck with spirit iron, or just use divine fragments to raise you chances of getting what you want from the final pools.

umbracite is not easy to come by though, so unless you have a weapon you definitely want to use for endgame probably don't waste it. Especially make sure your weapon has all 7 slot available.

you get umbracite from coop mostly, but doing both twilight missions each day on all three difficulties will get you two umbracite each of normal quality and fabled. Don't worry too much about making a good weapon until much later on. A cheap way to go about things is if you find a decent weapon you like just reforge some of the crappy effects away using spirit iron. You can still get rare effects this way it just might take you a hundred of so spirit iron bits and if you are disassembling everything <divine you will probably have thousands of them.

Other than that I'd say persona 5 is one of the games with the longest main story, disgaea has a ton of postgame content, yakuza 0 has just in general lots of content. if you've never played the games before, yes, absolutely. uncharted collection and tlou remastered both go on sale for $10 all the fucking time, and you'll easily get a solid 8-9 hour experience out of them both. If you're not a fan of the gameplay which is MMO lite, you'll probably barely be able to tolerate the main story before you want to drop it.

If possible, just play the PS2 version of IZJS, plug the english patch in and the only differences between it and zodiac age are the ability to pick a second job (neat, but largely useless considering everything's been dumbed down and weakened already), and the remastered OST. That way you don't spend $50 on something you very well may hate.

I feel like finally playing the way of the strong but the thought of reforging shit a million times makes me wanna die

Just played through Until Dawn in one sitting.
Decent game, starts off really slow though, almost unbearably so with loads of crap that I didn't much want to slog through to get to muh thriller.

It drags a bit at parts, maybe because I was playing it in one sitting but after an hour or two I really couldn't be bothered looking vigilantly for clues and tracing back. It felt tiresome and the payoff each gave wasn't all that engaging to warrant it. A run button would have done wonders but probably messed with the tone of the game.
Still fun though, nice little movie game when it does get going
