Unlikely but literally no one knows because there's no details on how the game will play whatsoever. Playing any 2D fighting game will help you transition so you may as well pick this one up on console if you really care that much

Not the same guy, but It's really difficult to explain since whe don't know to fully extend about semblances, but basically everyone in RWBY have this semblance thing that is basically like super powers, can be from unique to hereditary in some cases and can have a lot of options or even be upgraded.

Ruby's semblance is basically allows her to dash with unnatural speed in whatever direction she chooses. she can go so fast to give the illusion of teleporting like scattering in rose petals and create whirlwinds that can suck in and knock away stuff, but this talking as far v3 or v4, her ability is constantly getting better so who knows what she could do later with it.

But then there's special trait that she has, those silver eyes which so far we haven't got enough exposition on what they can do but they have been hyping it so much, but basically really op powers that she can't control at the moment but it's very destructive, to be fair we don't know get if she can keep up with Ragna since we don't know the extend of her powers aside from making a huge as fuck blizzard and almost destroying a full city as far we know, hopefully they give us more details soon but i don't doubt the will touch this subject in the game.

It has 8 active frames, which means you have to use it almost perfectly or instant block during your opponent's blockstring, because if you mistime it you're stuck in a crouching counter hit state for half a second. It's hard to use against stagger pressure. 6D has 9 active frames, and j.D has 10. Even if they all start on frame 1, I'd rather 2D actually be good than 6D being active from frame 1
