Dragon has no way to deal with Spawn. The best they have is Bahamut, but they still take 6 damage to the face. Even then, to kill a turn 6 Spawn with Bahamut, they need to ramp a few times, what means making weak early game plays, what means getting put low enough by Neutrals that taking Spawn's LW is still risky.
They'd rather deal with the more aggressive version, but it's still a bad match up for them.

Because Elana skips their turn 2 and/or 3 nearly every game. You NEED a way to clear board before turn 6 or you'll get overwhelmed. Cudgel/Teena is a card you always mulligan for.

Elana is one of the few decks I'd say generally wants to go 2nd because you need that early (and extra) Evo to clear board faster.

Don't have any Snow's, only got 1 Lucifer, waiting to see how the meta shakes out once Blood is shat on. So I don't want to "waste" vials on something that might not be the next T0 deck. Monk of Purification I've also been having better luck with over Curate. 1 less healing, but he's a meatier creature and he gives you essentially 4 healing+card draw, and something to do with those extra PP that tend to just hang around at later turns, plus more Elana buffs because it's two heals.

And beyond this, what should I even take out to replace with some of the stuff you're suggesting?

I heavily suspect it was one of those cards they designed after month 1 of ToG, but even current mid-shadow rarely fills the entire board now. Last week we had an issue with Eachtar being too strong and making a comeback as an 'overpowered' card which some people disliked. I sort of don't want to bad anything, but I also don't want a homogeneous environment where everyone is playing the same 2 decks. Obviously it's impossible to create a solution that fits everyone; Eachtar is under consideration for banning in addition to the others given that he is dominant if another equally high powered card doesn't keep him in check. I'm sorry if this is a bit complex but I'm just trying to create a fun game environment that's different than ranked grinding.
Please let me know if you had issue with the length last time - we had 8 players and it ran for about 3.5 hours. Format will be BO3, Double Elim.
