If you want to test AI at your leisure, go on the private server in the OP and call the shuttle. If there's no power, best way to restart is to spawn a supermatter and two bag of holding, squash the two bags together and then wait until new round. You'll be able to spawn as AI roundstart. You can also ask your local roboticist to become a AI when you feel you are ready

You just need to play your cards right, and you need to know that you CAN'T stay quiet forever.

Let's look at some possible scenarios here:
You ghetto chem chloral hydrate, and are looking for a target to succ.
Do you go for the Security Officer who has better equipment, or the assistant that looks like easy prey?
>You chloral the officer, cuff him, take his headset off, and succ his blood until he dies. SPS beeps. Your cover's blown. You are now forced to go loud with the officer's gear or die.

You need to pick easy targets until you're strong enough to take on the AI/Security/Captain/Hopcurity. A vampire with suitable powers can handle just about any encounter if he mashes buttons right.

Changelings, on the other hand, are a lot tougher. You get caught as a ling, no matter how many genomes you have, you're essentially fucked. Best case scenario you d-sting the first guy that comes up on you, but more are guaranteed to follow. If you want to survive going loud, you need to think more like a traitor with powers than solely a ling or vamp.

Get a laser gun. Shoot welding tanks. Spawn bats in maint. Bait sec towards a place with windows leading to space and chiroptean screech. Yakety towards officers that are firing at you and d-sting them. You will die a LOT and you will drop your spaghetti a LOT in the beginning, but eventually you'll get good as long as you keep trying and stay the assertive one.
