It's hard to say for sure about lore power levels, since a lot of things champions do that make them powerful aren't represented at all in the game sometimes. You would think darius is just an idiot with an axe but he's actually a politician too. You'd think Jhin was a dude with a gun but really his gun puts holes in mountains and it's all magical. So lore vs in game mechanics has always been a tough conversation.

It's implied that people who hear Sona's music are affected more than just someone hearing some good musician play. Her magic is hard to put a power level to, since she's never done anything other than make people feel good so we don't know what it can do.

Why does Kayn suck so much ass? He is advertised as a dual roles champ but i dont see how the Blue assassin form is possible due to his kit, you are basically a poor man's Mister Yen if you choose Blue

Normally a fight would be something like this

Seasons 1-3 were a shitshow that people glorify because they liked memebuilds and binary mechanics.

Seasons 1/2 particularly were completely decided by the jungler in the first couple minutes of the game. And usually if that jungler was Lee then they auto won. You might have had a chance with Maokai/Shyvana but it was a heavy disadvantage compared to the broken blind man. Not to mention 3/5 roles in the game built GP10 items and games rarely saw 4 completed items for anyone. I remember you could just build HoG/Phage/Aegis/Merc treads on Shyvana and that was basically it for the rest of the game. If you got lucky or fed you could finish Randuins or Frozen Mallet. Shurelia's Skarner was pretty fun though.

4/5 saw some decent improvements to the game with hiccups here and there and 6/7 have only been steps in the right direction. Champion diversity has gone WAY up and build diversity is actually a thing now, remember when Deathcap rush was meta for almost every mid laner? Or the entirety of S3 where Athene's was the end all be all for mid laners because it was everything you ever wanted and stomped out any AP assassins?

The game is regularly fun now and each game plays very differently. Back in the beginning of the game it felt almost scripted with forced item paths and a ridiculously shallow pool of usable champions.

Blue is the intended form to play with red as a back up form in case you can't assassinate.

Since hes an assassins they didn't want another disaster like most of their assassin releases so they went with too weak on the numbers so hes not gonna go on a raping spree before patch. Then they didn't bother balancing red besides just adding a bunch of % damage in there to feel good to play if you can't go blue without any foresight that it would be the only viable mode

I'm divided, to be honest.

On one hand, I think there have been a lot of steps in the right direction for overall game health. Diversifying viable builds for different champs and roles is great. Characters don't feel like they're just all building the same stuff and are just better versions of each other (ADC still kind of feels like that though). I like the changes to map objectives they've done.

On the other game, it feels kind of scrubbed of the old-school jank that makes things fun. You don't end up seeing stupid builds that work in dumb ways because of strange mechanic interactions. Like sunfire stacking on the stealth characters that were invis for minutes at a time. And you don't see diversified champ builds in the sense that all champs are now pretty much cemented in a certain role. You don't see too many characters with hybridized ratios across their moves that result in goofy AP or AD builds. Tristana is the one my friend and I always go back to since playing her AP assassin was really fun, but impossible now. You won't see a character like Sion, that is pretty bad at high level play and just kind of a mess of themes and puns and mechanics, but results in dumb goofy gameplay like AP Sion where your entire kit is based around sprinting around the map two shotting people.

It's probably better on the whole.

I've never been one for high skillcap champions, but I can play Zed, Riven, or Azir and do okay. Nothing special... but they've got easily defined abilities to use. With Yasuo it's just... a dash and short ranged poke which is basically just an aa.

My expericnae with him is poking minions and hoping to land a tornado. If I get anywhere close to another champion I eat their entire rotation - even within a minion wave.

And that's another thing. What the fuck am I suppose to do when minions aren't around? Dash to what? The enemy? Ahaha. I'll just die.
