He is supposed to be the boss before the final boss of Final Fight. The only one other than Damnd who doesn't use a weapon yet is more dangerous than the ones before him who do. So they basically had to make him have those proportions when they chose to have him unless they went the Birdie route of making him weaker.

Running punch with armor is a special, he does an EX version, the flipping hammer blow is one and the repeated uppercuts are, for the same reasons. He has a command grab obviously, since he has a cinematic grab and there's an ex version and also how in hell would he not have one, you knew he had one as soon as you saw how big he is right? I would guess that's all of them.

Chest parry is the V-skill? Also the V-trigger looks very similar to Birdie's, but it's not clear what the properties are.

His reward doesn't look big enough. Tager gets restand and magnetism off everything except air to air, and Hugo had full corner carry with a restand link off an armored attack. Both had dedicated anti-air grabs with yuge reach, good frame advantage, and decent pressure without using command throws, and they were still low tier, with it taking a whole series ending of gradual buffs to finally make Tager good.
I don't see any of that from him. He's probably gonna be bad.

Abigail is the perfect example of the main issue of the current artstyle with both SFIV and SFV.

The game(s) don't know if they want to be semi-realistic or cartoony, so the result is a mixed bag that pleases none of the styles.

That's my biggest issues. I like some of the stylistic choices mainly on the chicks in the series but it doesn't even do Japanese humor right for the rest of it. They push it as a ""serious"" esport that gets on TV but then they have astoundingly dumb shit like Abigail and the goofy end of round scenes where characters get a urinal or log on their head. Those can be produced around for TV but Abigail can't be.

From what I see of Abigail his grabs only exist to catch you by surprise, his grabs aren't the core of his gameplay like Hugo's, they're more like Birdie's.

When you play Abigail you're gonna be looking to react and blow through something to start a combo and get your damage whereas Hugo was more about conditioning your opponent to eating huge SPDs or ultra throw combos. When Hugo blows through something it just helps him set up for more throws, it's not the means to damage itself.

The super revision has to be bad to kill Capcom in fighting games. Plus the FGC is a battered child that's had it far worse than a trash to mediocre Street Fighter and still remembers the dark times when everyone was a melee style autist playing a 10 year old game that no one in the real world cares about.
