Started playing DPS lately, and my god, this is so easy after two seasons of mostly Ana. You don't care about anyone else, you got tons of mobility, you don't have to bet on someone else doing their job. That's not just dps, most of the time if you're playing offtank, you can compensate for a lot of shit your teammates can't do. Like, if you are a good Zarya - you barely need two dps, they are there to provide distraction so that enemies don't just bomb rush you. Other than that, levitate around 70 charge, have decent tracking and everything will melt.

sentry has a similar issue with torb armor, where its resource is simply too scarce on specific game modes/when being countered. she needs her autistic gun to behave more closely to a pistol. symetra shield gen and teleporter should regenerate charge/shield at a much lower rate.

trashmouse needs faster projectiles with the same dropoff and shorter life to have a faster ballistics overall. if he had 2 or 3 snatchel charges he could dive while possibly working better against tanks

The SR system is just completely broken. Either the game should be like dota where you lockin to a hero and commit for the entire match, or the SR system doesn't punish you for switching (Not to mention punishing you for losing your ult charge).


When you play a hero like genji, it honestly feels like (Even if you SHOULD switch to a tank because your team needs one more than your dps) you should just stay on Genji. Your SR gains/losses will be better, you're closer to a dragonblade which can force a change in the stalemate anyway.

Hero switching on the fly in Overwatch is literally a bad idea and the game wasn't designed that way, which is why its a problem

Koreans are the coolest motherfuckers in Overwatch. I was in a comp game with an entire Korean team and all they did was speak moon. It was funny as hell doing something in-game and hearing them in moonspeak say my hero name along with what they wanted in Korean. I had no fucking idea what exactly they wanted, but I somehow pleased them since they were typing out a lot of smilies in chat.

its a big deal in the game. blizz may have stopped enforcing counters and hard counters but its still a mechanic that once used to be a core part of the game.

poor statistics and strategical fuckups that force characters to stay in their countered role due to their ult are also frustating aspects of the game that skilled players learn to work against.

I personally consider ana hard to play, but it becomes hard only if you're getting dove(Diven?Doven?Dived? I have no idea) and actually need to fight your way to fat ass tanks you need to heal.
Same shit with tracer, she can be hard, but only if everyone is aware of your presence and actively makes their lifegoal to make your life miserable.
And most of the time in soloQ neither of those two things happen, so both Ana and Tracer are pretty much free to roam and do their things, which by themselves aren't hard at all.

A lot of pharahs get to masters and then drop a ton of SR because people suddenly start annihilating them in open spaces. threat of punishment and the report system having some teeth will still go a long way towards getting players at least a little in line. I still think players will switch to low effort play to throw games or whatever but it should cut down on blatant throwing/trolling actions.

Is it because Blizzard fucked up the SR gain calculations this season? Last season I was hovering between 50% - 48%WR as Mercy and lost tons of SR. Why the change this year?

Why don't they do it like Dota 2 and just use a predetermined, uniform SR gained for all members in a team?
