So, I've been playing bloodborne and I can't get past the first part to get to the boss. I have, but it's time consuming and whenever I get past I have no blood vials, and no mollys, which makes it virtually impossible for me to beat the first boss. First of all, be less ambiguous. What boss? What area?

Now obviously you're talking about Central Yharnam, but whether you're talking about Gascoigne or Cleric Beast is fairly important in determining what kind of advice to give.

One general tip, for at least the first couple areas, is use a Saw weapon; Saw Cleaver, or Saw Spear.

Bloodbullet frequently to save bullets and learn to visceral attack. The brick trolls are good practice and are good for farming vials early too. There are two close to the Central Yharnam lamp.
Also once you know the path to the boss just run past everything like everyone else is saying.

Cut through the Dark House and open the gate to the Central Yharnam Lamp, right outside Gilbert's house.

That way for future attempts all you have to do is run through the dark house and down the bridge, already passed the werewolves, to CB.

For CB, and this goes for basically every bestial boss in the game, do not fight them squared off from the front. Bestial bosses have blindspots you should always be moving towards. Cleric Beast's is behind him on his right.

Always be moving clockwise around him (towards and underneath his smaller arm) and try to stay behind him.

Neither the Rifle Spear or the Reiterpallasch are not good on a bloodtinge build. Personally, I don't think the Chikage is either, between its poor range and bad modifiers on everything except its one or two good moves. Bloodletter is phenomenal though, so rev up that Saw Spear L1 and let it carry you through to Maria.
