That reminds me of the saddest/sweetest thing I've seen for LiS. It was a small comic strip on Tumblr of Max and Chloe in a retirement home together, holding hands, and passing away minutes apart from each other.
I cannot at all remember the source of it though.

There's also the end of the fic Grande Dame where Chloe's over 100 and dies a few years after Max. She closes her eyes on the cliff, opens them, and Max is there and they are both young again. That fic had some problems throughout but that scene made me tear up.

Here i got some ramblings.

Im already getting feels at the implications of BtS
The game soundtrack wise just feels so similar to how i felt being 16. The Daughter song numbers that plays in the trailer and the burning tree then the chloe dreaming of her fathers death, It just gives me chills.
Along with in the 20 minute gameplay the known song at the end "where will i go...when the only home i known, is ashes now"

A long I read a TIME book about 9/11 and it showed photographs of inside the towers, One of the picture descriptions stayed with me for years, that the photo captured the eyes of the dead, that the people in the photo are dead now and you are staring into the eyes of someone dead despite them currently being alive in the photo. I get the same weird feeling looking at an alive Rachel.
The fact we know her fate sort of hurts we are literally staring into the eyes of a dead person.
Its like if you were forced to meet the love of her life and see her(or his) death in only a few years and there is nothing you can do to prevent that. You just have to enjoy the time while it lasts.

I understand that feeling. I've read quite a bit about 9/11 and seen photos and documentaries. You're right, you're seeing and hearing them alive in that moment, but they really died over a decade ago. You watch those things and wish they could turnout different and that those people could be saved, and there will probably be a similar feeling regarding Rachel. Though she is obviously not a real life that was lost.
While on the topic, one story which I remembered while typing this is of a photographer named Bill Biggart. He was hanging around at the base of the WTC and taking photos right up to the minute he died. Through those photos you get an idea of his path that day. It's very interesting but extremely tragic.

With BtS, we know how the story eventually ends and how things go after it. But you watch it anyway because you want to know more specific info and get to know the people who were involved. Even if while viewing it you hope that things will be different and have a better outcome. Thankfully, BtS won't show Rachel's death and Chloe having to be scared for her friend. It should end on a hopeful note which will be reinforced by knowledge that things get better, at least for Chloe. And that Rachel gets justice and, if the ghost doe is any indication, peace.

I think they were more so using the conflict represented in the nightmare to question Max's conviction to save Chloe as presented in the compilation? Which I also find ridiculous, not least because Max reaffirms her conviction after the "horrible nightmare" which she identifies as the horror show of her doubts turned into the worst fears that it is, and because it signifies exactly her defiance and overcoming of that insecure, doubtful, irrationally fearful place in her mind so as to not let it control her and lead her astray from her actual convictions, from reality, in a drastically over-exaggerated way, as a nightmare would... but it's not quite as ridiculous as saying Max is actually convinced of these things and rightly so.

Then again, they did argue that these are valid concerns of hers, and the argument at all started on an anti-Bae sentiment, and so if they don't think the nightmare caricatures a bad place that Max is to overcome, beat her insecurity and not let fear and doubt control her, then it only leaves the possibility that they think Max should actually surrender to it... or that they are actually valid enough to consider when she's making her final choice. They shouldn't have taken the finale of the game away from the characters and focused it on some natural disaster.
Tornado, tsunami, meteor, or whatever else, it still would have been blaming Max for something she would have no way of knowing about. So unless the new disaster was actually addressed and earlier and the timelines were consistent with showing they were linked to Max's power/Chloe's death (And saving Chloe was the first change Max made in the timeline) then the same problems would still exist and /isg/ would still choose Bae because of Max's feelings and because it's the more consistent choice.

If Rachel does have a power likes Max's then you may notice her mood changing (Which wasn't what we saw in the gameplay trailer. That was just seeing an incomplete scene) or even her position shifting a few inches if she can rewind.

Whatever you did with Chloe,eventually those text messages are based on romantic between Chloe and Max since she text'd him about dare kiss and Warren learnt that. This is possibly why developers made Chloe text to Warren, to let him know that *something* is going on between these two girls.

Even after getting the text, Warren sends one to Max and if she kissed Chloe it's of him saying that he should have known he didn't stand a chance and that Chloe seems cool.
I think Warren had the idea Max wasn't into him but since he never got a definite no, he still had some hope. He doesn't push the topic or hold it against Max, and he does help Max save Chloe, which is good.

It's one of the mysteries. Little things like Samuel, the idea Bigfoot is around, Natives, blood rituals, and the Prescott letter from the 1900s puts the idea into the player's mind that Arcadia Bay is not a normal town.
There was even the theory prior to Episode 5 that Max's power worked only in Arcadia Bay. but with the prequel and the near assuring that there will be something going on, it does seem the town attracts some kind of force.
