Open up CMD (or terminal if not windows) and type, ping www.google.com.au -t (leave out the "-t" if you are not windows), leave it in the background while you play dota, when the connection drops as you play, alt-tab, check the CMD and check your ping. If you are getting packet loss, then you know your internet is the problem, if not, then dota is the problem. If other people in the game aren't having a problem, then its your own game that has the problem, in which case you can do multiple things: verify game cache, see if any of your anti-virus software is interfering with the game (put dota into a whitelist category or just disable it while playing the game to see if it helps) and so on.

If your internet IS the problem, then it might be related to how it is being used in your household, or how it is connected to your computer, there are too many variables to contain within one post

Venge is much stronger as a drow/luna hybrid carry. She's stronger in the laning phase than drow and a little weaker than luna, and her aura isn't global, but she has the option of offensive swap to initiate, you can save your true damage dealing midlaner with swap, and the hero does decent right click anyway. Venge SF dual core were fairly common a few months ago

As a support she's garbage at zoning, her stun's scaling got nerfed so that you can't go the 1/4/4 build as easily anymore, her wave kept on getting nerfs as well. She's a strong batrider counter, but so is oracle and nyx. She does shit on chronosphere though, but you need level 2 swap to be able to reach from one side to the other.

I have a really gut feeling that NP and Planet Dog will perform (top 8 both). I hate NP as much as the next guy but they have really good results against strong teams. Dog will just fly under the radar. Ig.V may also be top 6, they're probably better than the main squad.

VP and DC. I like their players alot (probs funniest) but VP has choking problems and I've never seen DC play well without meepo.

Alright, I had a 2 year break and i'm now coming back to dota. Ignoring the fact that i forgot how to lane, what's with everyone getting farm now? Holy shit I remembered playing support and having like a 2k net worth 20 minutes in, now everyone gets midas and can somehow jungle. Also all those supports that roam and then build carry stuff like riki and venge. I did read most of the patchnotes, but please help me out figuring out the game again.

At some point in game I completely gave up. We had the advantage in the first 15m and our team refused to group up. Juggernaut started to build Battlefury even tho we had Magnataur and then he just threw the game in rosh pit for no reason. After that I didn't do much but talk shit indeed.

Well a typical game starts one of two ways.
>Noone says anything or marks their lanes or highlights a hero and remains in silence even if you ask them where they're playing

Then everyone ignores each other and just picks whatever they want, with no regard to where they lane, team synergy or the amount of farm on a map. This will firstly be addressed when they spawn, walk to a lane and call the other person in the lane a faggot "me mid now or feed" "you won't get any farm here go away" etc.

Next is the laning phase, if by a mircale you are solo you must buy your own wards or use ESP to avoid ganks as noone will call missing and noone will ward for you, rotate if you're in trouble or do anything but whine.
If you are in a dual lane, you must now out last hit 3 players. Again, no wards or help.
They closest you will get to a gank is if someone can't outCS his lane partner, he will come to your lane and try to out last hit you.

Next you will attempt to push towers, you must do this alone as the whole team will either walk back into a lane they are being killed in like some kind of lemming automaton or they will spend the next 40 minutes in the jungle. Towers fall in a random order, often by accident. No smokes, no rosh, no vision. At the very best you will get 4 of your team grouped up to make a play. 5man is a pipe dream.
You will engage in a fight, then in a gentlmenly agreement, after the fighting is complete and one side defeated, you will both return to your fountains to recuperate. Only once this is complete can you attempt to take an objective. After this you will push a lane to a tower, someone will realize the minute you spent doing this has allowed the enemy to respawn and will signal the retreat.
Now it's time to jungle some more.


Noone wants to push towers and end the game, they want 6 items and a good KDA.
This will come into full force later during the post game blame section.

Now the logical solution to most of these problems, is a good support player. Someone to babysit every lane, ward everything and buy the smokes, detection and be sitting 'finger on the TP button' ready to respond. And it does help, but you can smoke and people will just run into the jungle and attack creeps. You can ward for a push onto a tower and they'll attack the other one. You can buy items to save your team and they'll still get themselves killed (more on this later).


After the team has fragmented and argued with each other using some more furious pinging about taking "their camps" (remember how we ignored our team comp and drafted whatever we wanted). We will again seek to take an objective.
First I want to talk about items. Items are whatever torte de lini or more likely, the default items say to build. 100%.
I have literally been called a hacker for building a halberd. I build diffusal on Windrunner and wraith king reported me for cheating because I hacked his ultimate. On the plus side it makes Halberd, Lotus Orb, Pipe and Eblade ridiculously overpowered because nobody knows what they do.
Also people won't know things like euls and manta is a purge, diffusal isn't just a slow etc.

Noone will cast their items on you. Never. Just give up hope that your brown boots linkens weaver might cast it on your ass. He doesn't even know it's got an active. Stuck in Riki's cloud? Not gonna make it out of bloodrite in time? Your trusty hurricane pike sniper or force staff disruptor will watch you die rather than use his item.
Actives won't get used, BKB's won't be popped (or even bought).

There will be no late game planning, no securing of rosh, no pushing with advantage etc. The game is now a coinflip on who fucks up with the enemy creeps in the right (wrong) place.
If you don't play a hero that can solo every tower and highground you won't win.
