Kind reminder that SFV and T7 are identically lamentable. Both games have horrendous input lag, terrible online experience, a lack of character variety, long and artificial load times, and sparse on features. Promoting either of these games weakens the fighting game community.

Kind reminder that Dragonball FighterZ will be a poorly crafted fighter with abysmal space control, awful movement when compared to the Marvel series, lack of assist variety, and no appreciable character archetype diversity. Just because it's not Capcom doesn't mean it won't be bad. If you have to constantly compare yourself to current Capcom to make a game sound good, then it's a shit game.

I don't mind a little execution. It's when execution is taken to the extreme and forgets the reason of its existence that it becomes a problem.

The whole point of execution is to lock more powerful abilities behind some kind of barrier. Those QWER games lock it behind a cooldown. In fighting games, the alternative is an execution barrier that on it's own takes more time to input and is susceptible to being messed up. That compensates for a timer. Ideally combo execution should never be overly difficult, it should be the particularly nasty things to do with specials and what not that have a barrier.

And that's an okay price to pay for having the abilities on demand. The issue is that some games take that too far, like BB, and make everything about execution.
Tekken is actually pretty great in this sense because typical juggles are pretty easy, but characters with stances and what not can be abused mid juggle for extra damage if you can execute it properly. It doesn't extraordinarily penalize your combo game, but it does give you a distinct advantage when you can Taunt jet upper or JFSR when you want under pressure.
SF would be a good example but SFV is a little too simple.
