Amicable reminder that Dragonball FighterZ will be a poorly crafted fighter with abysmal space control, awful movement when compared to the Marvel series, lack of assist variety, and no appreciable character archetype diversity. Just because it's not Capcom doesn't mean it won't be bad. If you have to constantly compare yourself to current Capcom to make a game sound good, then it's a shit game.

Amicable reminder that SFV and T7 are identically lamentable. Both games have horrendous input lag, terrible online experience, a lack of character variety, long and artificial load times, and sparse on features. Promoting either of these games weakens the fighting game community.

SFV isn't worth getting into.

Of the lineup, BlazBlue is the game with the least wrong with it at the moment. Tekken 7 is fun to play, but it has a lot of problems on a purely competitive level. GG Xrd had a ton of potential but ASW killed it with a couple weird decisions.

But there are a lot of great games with smaller scenes that you shouldn't discount just because it's not an EVO main stage game. Almost any random old fighting game probably still has a few people up for a match on Fightcade.

Enjoying Marvel quite a bit to be honest. I don't play these combo-heavy madman games, but it's fun to watch.

How hard is it to memorize and execute those crazy-ass combos?

BB can't have the least wrong simply because the player pool is low and the character specific knowledge you need to know is huge.
I agree about tekken although he wouldn't be competitive any time soon, so it'd be fine.
KoF XIV if it had a player base might be decent.

Every game has something you have to take into account, whether it's deadness, mechanics, character familiarity, execution that hold it in someway and require you to deal with if you want to play it.
