looking at deus zeph parse logs, summoner barely reaches 33k dps. meanwhile force, which reaches 41k dps comfortably, will still be at 31k~ dps even if you completely removed compounds. and fighter stays at 32k dps no problem. all of these numbers assume techer + ranger in the party. gunner is getting nerfed on deus as well, since they can reach 34k dps no problem and already have chain up for every time the weak point is exposed. gu and su are getting fucked in these changes, and at least gu is getting SOME buff, summoner is getting fuck all and force is getting new techs to play with (maybe)

Zanverse nerf isn't the main problem, just one of the side issues. Zanverse being normalized means you don't need techer any more to provide it, that's all. The bigger issue is that with all of techer's damage being nerfed, we barely justify our existence. The damage loss of playing Techer is just barely offset by the buffs we bring in ep5. If you pub often, you're going to take damage away from the MPA by playing Techer if there's more than just you playing Te. How often do you actually see Su/Gu compared to all the people playing Su/Hu and Su/Br though? I managed to track it down. This is what wand whacking damage looks like if you're geared. Note that he's also using Form Wand which is the best practical wand for Te/Hu by a pretty big margin so if you see someone playing Te/Hu and they don't have this wand, they're missing out on a good chunk of damage. As an aside, you also need rainbow wands to play Te/Hu well which is effort most pubs don't put in. It's serviceable but this damage doesn't really knock your socks off, does it? The other sub choices come out above wand.

I don't think you're serious engaging with the convo but in case you are and so everyone else can see anyway I'll talk about some of the details behind it. Hu striking modifier is around 1.76 once everything is put together, Summoner modifier is around 1.72~ and Fo modifier is 1.6 if casting from a talis, 2.3 if it's Fire/Ice/Lightning with the bonus of buffing your compounds as well. The issue is that wand base damage just isn't very high so the decent multipliers from Hunter don't help it out that much in comparison to Te/Su, Te/Fo or even situationally Te/Br. Summoner gives you access to Maron which is overtuned as well as the versatility and range of the other summoner pets who are fairly high base damage as well. Force gives you access to compounds and strong talis casting with things like Ragrants.

The buffs that Techer brings to an MPA aren't that much more damage than just bringing an actual dps class to the MPA, and that's in 12man MPAs. As an aside, this is assuming everyone in the MPA is competent. Obviously you don't balance with bad players in mind but as a primarily solo player, any Te damage nerfs make life pretty miserable. I'm automate with one point of IW as a safety net. When I started playing, I was told that for Hunter sub you do either automate or IW, not both, because they're points better spent elsewhere (like Fury Stance or Flash Guard) and they don't function together well.

Now everyone is telling me you do both, which just seems like overkill, but my point is that I don't have LB , the crazy skills (yet), halfline, or deadline, because none of those are applicable to Hunter, especially with automate.

I've had no trouble getting multi-parties for either. CM2 is the one where you start in the tundra and the areas are all very straightforward DPS checks or boss fights.
