I went over this last thread, but Marie worked because the Squid Sisters felt like two friends doing a bit, and they stayed conistant. Marina suddenly changed personality but Pearl stayed the same, so her snark came out of nowhere and Pearl didn't really feel like she was playing along with the bit. Plus unlike the Squid Sisters, this is a total flip of personality from the japanese version.

In S1, charger is a staple on some maps and offers the best equal map control in the game. They're useful in most situations provided you actually have impact and most importantly, don't die. You have flexible function such as making picks to enable a push, or playing defensively preventing pushes or map control for the opposing team. If you're using a non-squiffer like sniper, you'll suffer from mobility and if you're using a squiffer like sniper, you'll suffer from very close range engagements and long range engagements while dominating midrange. That new sniper that holds its charge for a long time will be ideal for flanking and making picks, but you pretty much have to land a shot every time or you'll be deadweight.

Thanks for the info. My first couple of games playing with the charger in the Splatfest today were abysmal. It was the only weapon I didn't do at least passable with in the beginning so after the first few hours of playing with the other weapons, I made a point of playing with the Charger nonstop until I wasn't so horrible.

I'd say I was halfway good/decent with it by the end (getting a few somewhat impressive splats here and there every so often). But I was mostly shooting and swimming around covering area rather then actively seeking out splats (and I don't know if that's dumb on my part)

There is no doubt that, right now, the results are immensely skewed in Marina's favor. She's indubitably the more popular of the Off the Hook girls overseas, and popular perception of Pearl - though not as bad as it was only a few days ago - is still of a somewhat negative bent.

This was a bad splatfest to be honest. Who wouldn't have picked ice cream? It is in the middle of summer. When you think of summer somewhere along the line you think of ice cream as well. It did not help that a good portion of nintendo of america being on team ice cream too. There was such a heavy bias already it was ridiculous. I mean at least have the choices more inline with their element like the japanese splatfest did.

They could have done pie vs cake, or ice cream vs popsicles. This would have had a more even match I feel. Like 85% of my matches have been a mirror match with other ice cream players and it did not feel like I was actually competing with the other side.
