Saying that I get what you mean, would make a great spin-off though. Even the prologue of third had some more mature themes, the villain was an arms dealer, Kevin tries to have an affair with a married woman and he threatens to murder an entire airship. The protagonist is the big difference, SC has cheerful Eselle who throughout the game tries to save and uses a staff so she'll never kill anyone. Third starts with Church assassin Kevin fight through a civilian airship, kidnap a guy and then says they're lucky he didn't have a reason to kill every single last person on the airship.

He's also one of the few characters in the entirety of trails to be shown actually killing someone which is something.

During today’s stream, XSEED Games (with a pink keromin, even) has announced that they will be releasing Ys Seven for PC sometime during the summer. They have shown the game to be working already, displaying it in action on video.

This is not the same port as Joyoland made a few years back, but instead this is a completely new contract. It runs smoothly with high resolution and 60FPS. Tom has also confirmed that the game will have an updated translation, as well.

Is XSeed fucking serious? They did more marketing for Ys VII then they did for Cold Steel.

Celceta's Chinese PC port is flawed: lacks shaders/lighting from Vita, has a broken config launcher (forcing you to find the hidden config.ini in a temp folder), and forces you to use the mouse for certain touch-pad actions (like warping and puzzles) instead of a better gamepad option. It does run at 1080p/60 FPS, though (using the fan-patched .exe, meant for the English patch), and I'd rather enjoy the image quality than deal with a lower-res game. But a proper port of Celceta would really fix this.

to be fair, your comparing the first boss out of like 20. Celceta was just easy though, the crafting system plus flash dodge made it really easy to fuck bosses. the slowdown from the flash dodge is absurdly good, letting you get in an extra combo or 2.

Isn't it likely that we're going to get a Coldsteel 4? Think about it: In CS3, we have 5 brand new party members. Falcom always has characters in at least 2 games. The Sky characters were in 3 games, the Crossbell characters in 2 games.

Unless nu-Class VII is fully fleshed out in one game, we're probably going to see them in one more game.

Bump physics in DoY are pretty bad IMO (you can easily get one-shotted by rotating in place when attacking an enemy), but they're worth putting up with in order to experience some of the best bosses in any Ys game.
