It's about a 5% damage loss for me because of this whole mana meme.

The issue is that after T3, there's a high chance you won't tick before F3 ends casting so you end up transitioning with 12960 mana left. The Astral combo then costing you 12480 mana (if you use a heart F1 on to reduce the overcost of the combo), so you have 480mana left before B4 and wala: this shit happens A LOT.

there's not really a disadvantage. You miss out on some holiday items (that can be bought from cash shop, I think) and that's about it. You'll have a whole of story to trudge through/enjoy and after that you'll be caught up to basically everyone else, minus the gear (and since we're two weeks into a new expansion, being behind on gear is not an issue).

yes there are raids they were hard but now theyre for everyone. we're getting hard hard raids soon though (apparently). the game shits out xp till the most recent patch, the glamors (transmogs) are fun af. the cash shop is expensive if you fiend on it. but not too bad if you really enjoy the game. there are level boosts as well.

I dunno but it takes mind numbingly long if you start from the beginning, even if you skip cutscenes. Tons of pointless dialogue and dungeons and trials you have to complete, and as a DPS it'd probably take a while with queues. Better off just spending 50 bucks to buy storymode/l60 combo items, I dunno.
Maybe you'll enjoy leveling too, not being in a rush to hit max level and enjoying yourself is important for this game, or you'll dislike it
