smons uses your current spr when you call then to calculate their skill mods but they also use your current matk as fuel (+ the riding skill, of course). Best scenario is a skull smasher+sage wall to summon then switch to regard horn staff

What do you do in this game? It took 2 days for me to hit level 330, now I don't know what the fuck to do. I bought one of those level 315 weapons off the market and got it to +11 and put some gems in it, and I bought that level 170 HG set that is Swordsman only and has a lot of STR and CON. I got some boots with DEX and movement speed. The only upgrades I can see are changing my Zacharial Band and Bearkaras Band for Gladiator Bands/Sissel Bracelets, and changing my 10 Physical 20 crit necklace into that one that gives +14 to all stats. Then what?

In this case I'm not saying you're a tank in the sense that you HOLD aggro necessarily, but that you gather the mobs. If you took peltasta, learn to efficiently grab up a room. Even if you're not, running the outskirts is not hard to make sure you get it all, there's a little work to figuring it out but it's trial and error that takes 3-5 tries to figure out at most.

I've done this myself quite often as I am forced to play this role or have characters that fill it well (No Peltasta, but Cataphract can gather the corner mobs well too)

The point is they're shit at it. If you want to call it 'gatherer' instead of 'tank', go for it, I don't care what you call it. IF you are walking in first to handle gathering the mobs, don't be a fucking idiot.

It's not about the damage or keeping aggro.
It's about knowing what your group can do.

If you have a cryochrono, pyro, linker, or basically any AoE DPS, you should be grouping, almost always you will be grouping the room unless you have a totally shit group. When you group, you don't leave stragglers or you attempt to minimize it. Grabbing half the room and ignoring the other half is a fucking waste in most cases, and this is what I'm talking about. As long as you are bringing them all towards the same area so that someone can follow up with AoE DPS/CC/etc I don't care, but leaving stragglers of 1-5 mobs is the fucking worst.

There is a point in the game's progression though.

Why do you get a lvl 200+ weapon, why not juse a lvl 15 weapon? Because the damage boost is going to make most of your content easier to do and allow you to progress faster than otherwise.

The problem with ET is it's after you've already beat all the other content really, and the things you get from it are only useful in moving up in ET alone. These kinds of 'towers' are cool when they're not the highest content or when only their upper floors are the higher content and most of it can be done (and benefit the rest of your gameplay).

That's not what ET is. Leveling is fucked in this game anyway, even if ET was like that and started at 200, with how many pieces you need, you would be max level before you got a single piece of gear.

You don't need ET gear at all. Lolo is 100x times cheaper and will enable you to be prepared for whatever is in the future. Solmiki gear is purely for people who want to win PvP with gear or dominate world bosses. Solmiki itself is easy, no joke. It's just time consuming and labor intensive and a silver sink. Most aim for the 4th set bonus and will ignore rings / amulet because the new boss ones are coming and it's better to have 4 solmiki set bonuses and then get the 3 accessory bonuses.

I'd say that you're best off with Lolo glove+boots as 5f is so much less time commitment than 10f, but you're spot on otherwise. 2 pieces of lolo+2 kaulas pieces is really all a physical dps needs. You don't have Priest for blessing, so PD2 will hit for literal shit with spirit. Think of 1000 poison ticks at best. I'd rather take Kabbalist for Clone meme's and better support. Double Chance is nice if your party isn't stupid too. PD2 offers lvl 1 status immunities though and healing factor max'd isn't too bad and you can use that one spray to remove most debuffs. Your damage will be garbage as full SPR though, but if your goal is to support others while your zombies kill shit why not. Your build is quite terrible as full SPR because zombies attacking is piss poor due to AI problems and they get knocked around. If your goal is to kill shit in maps and dungeons, sure it works.
