You are not going to be much worse than other players when you play a hero you haven't played much. Most players in those low ranks are new anyway. Check their profiles, it's not some 200 hour Genji on the other team, it's probably a 5 hour Genji with 20 hours in the game since launch.

People tunnel-vision in this game too fucking much.

I had a game like that last night. Defend Hollywood, my whole team decided to fight outside their spawn. Somehow, the enemy Orisa managed to sneak past them and get onto the point? They took the point quickly because my team was staggered and there was fuck all I could do as Ana, since I was solo healing.

I want to play competitive because there's more of an incentive to have decent team comps and people are more likely to communicate, but I know I won't be placed at diamond and it seems like ranks below that are a toss-up as to whether you'll have decent games or not.
