Yes it's really good, it's written in weird way though, first you play Aries' route in 2050, it's mostly exposition and setting up the mistery, then you unlock the second chapter in the main menu, it takes place in 2048, 2 years before the start of the main game and one of the heroines, Aqua is the MC, then you unlock Aqua's route in 2050.
Aqua's chapter and her route are amazing, and the best part of the game.

The Magus just kind of remains silent and freaking Shiki just tells her that the days were fun, though.
And this is what, for me, Tsukihime was about. Yes, there were vampires and serial killers. But it was really about finding joys in today – even when it doesn’t seem like there are any… and about having faith in a tomorrow. Basically, Tohno Shiki could die ten years from that conversation with Aoko, or he might not even wake up the next day. Although we don’t “live close to death”, the same basic concept applies. There are no promises in life. So you can go through life miserable only to be potentially snuffed out tomorrow, or you can find your own happiness and hope it extends into your future.

Night Watch is legitimately one of the best books out there, but it's only good because you've read 24 books of people nonstop making comedy jokes about how terrible things used to be and how miserable they all were, then when the book actually shows that period it plays it 100% straight for drama and it works unbelievably well, turning Reg Shoe from wacky zombie SJW-man who wants equal rights for the dead to the best fucking character. It's an amazing, fantastic, book but it works because of the buildup and context and how radically different it is from everything else in the series, just reading it on its own wouldn't do anything.

It's all right. Aries doesn't really have a route, and the last route (which is kind of a true route and implies a sequel that'll never happen) is pretty lackluster, especially compared to Aqua's route.
It tries a bit too hard to be "realistic" which makes a lot of the drama painfully melodramatic, but Aqua's route is great because there's a huge amount of buildup for it. The translation isn't bad, but it could have definitely used another editing pass.
Unfortunately, there's an after story for Aqua's route that sort of shits on a lot of the things that happens during her route and feels its major theme is "bad things happen, deal with it."
If you want something that's more serious without being too dark, but still mostly bittersweet it's a decent read. I think Himawari is pretty overrated overall personally, though.

I liked Dracu-Riot more. It felt like there was a bit more effort put in the routes and plots. Azusa and Miu's routes were legitimately fun to read.
